Three years. It had been three years since he last saw him. Three years. It was far too long in Shion's eyes. "Nezumi.." he whispered into the darkness.
"Hmm? Did you say something dear?" Shion heard his mother's voice from the kitchen.
Ever since Shion left Nezumi three years ago, the city-state known as No.6 rebirthed into what most people would call a 'normal city'. The walls were still there but it was now much easier to travel in and out of them. The city was much more lenient on its rules and now anyone from the West Block could freely come into No.6. Anyone, including Nezumi.
Shion was sure Nezumi would come for a visit, but he was yet to be seen. No notes were sent either. Shion guessed Nezumi's hatred for the city was more important than Shion himself.
"Shion?" his mother's voice snapped him back into reality.
"Oh nothing! I'm just talking to myself." Shion layed in bed and thought more about the city and Nezumi. He soon drifted to sleep.
