"what do you want?" the girl annoyingly asked before she popped her bubble gum.

"can i have a large drink?"

"yeah, that'll be a dollar." the girl said and put a cup on the counter. i handed her a five. i waited for my change when i heard a groan behind me.

"fucking course. forgot my wallet again." i looked at the boy behind me digging in his pockets.

i got my change and handed it to the boy.

"get whatever your little heart desires." i said and pranced off.

i filled my cup up with diet coke and ice before taking a sip and humming.

i walked to a booth and plugged my earphones in, tuning out the world.

i sipped on my coke and drummed my fingers on the table. i opened my eyes and saw the boy at a booth right in front of me. he took a bite of his burger and smiled.

it looks like he is badadadadaa lovin' it.
