Royals
The very word could make even the bravest of the brave shiver with fear. Royals are the rulers of the werewolf world. They have ruled the werewolf species for as long as the race existed.
They operate like all the other packs. There is a alpha, a luna, a beta, a gamma, pack warriors and regular wolves. There is always a Alpha that rules the royal pack.
5000 years prior a female would be judged unfit to be alpha, but that rule has been since long forgotten. The Royal alpha is automatically the strongest alpha in the world.
Unlike with normal alphas there are more requirements then being the oldest born of a child. In order to be Alpha King/Queen you have to be cunning and sharp, master all forms of fighting, train your wolf in all the fighting styles, have top notch social skills and radiate power.
Most Alphas in the past have passed all the requirements accept the last. Power is not something one can learn, you have to be born with it.
