My eyes shot open as my alarm sounded, awaking me from my sleep. It was monday, worst day of the week already and only to get worse. I stumbled to the kitchens to make breakfast. "Good morning hun" I heard a solf voice behind me. "Good morning mom, am I walking today?" I asked while spreading jam onto plain bread. She sighed and apologize, I had to walk. I let out a moan of frustration and stuck the bread in my mouth while grabbing my bad and beading out the front door. "Love you habe a good day!" My mom called to me. I waved back, my mouth full of food so I couldn't speak. "Great," I mumbled, "Now im gunna be late."

The day passed by quickly and it wasn't as bad as I expected. My friends, Kathrin and Donovan walked home with me. "Dude, did you get the homework down for Mr.Delblack? I swear he gave it last second and I didnt get it down." I shook my head at Donovan and he rolled his eyes. "What are you even good for?" He joked and nudged my shoulder. I smiled a bit but the suns heat took it from me. "I dont even have that teacher, remember?" I turned to Donovan as I spoke to him. He bowed his head and laughed, her remembered now. "Hey so were all meeting up tonight, right? We're all still in this?" Kathrin looked at us both waiting for a response. Donovan nodded and then looked at me. I pondered then shook my head no. "Oh c'mon Cy, you can't back out now!" Donovan grabbed my shoulder and shook it. I nudged him off. "I told you my names not "Cy" it Cyrrus, and I cant tonight. I'm watching a movie with my mom." The both shook their head in disappointment. "Oh Cy you're such a mommy's boy." Donovan said with a chuckle. I rolled my eyes and walked away. I had to go, its the only chance ill get to see this.

My mom greeted me as I walked in the door. "Hey how was school?" She asked pooring herself a cup of coffee. I set my bag down and flopped on the couch. "Long and tiring." I responded. She walked over and offered me her coffee, so I took a few sips. "How bad was it?" She asked. I stood up off the couch, "we had three tests and Ms.Jackson was being such a.." I stopped myself from cursing in front of my mom. "Sorry." I mumbled. She let out a small laugh and said it was fine. "Hey so we still on for family movie night?" I asked with high hoped. She walked into the kitchen getting another cup of coffee. "I dont know, what movie would we watch?" I looked at our display case by the t.v and pucked out Lonesome dove and held it up to my mom. "You do know that this is a really long movie, right?" I nodded, the longer the movie the better my chances of not having to go out.

It was about eight o'clock when we started the movie. The horrid smell of burnt popcorn filled the house, I could never get the right time for it. We sat down and watched the most boring movie ive ever seen. Its a good movie but, alot of story not much action. It didnt matter anyways, I was too focused on the clock that I didnt even watch the movie. "Hey bud," my mom called, "are you ok? You seem distant." I looked over to her, she was truly concerned. "Oh yeah im fine. Just gotta watch the time, I do have school tomarrow." She sighed in relief and lay her head down. I tried to focus on the movie but was still anxious about what my friends would say. Why did i have to tell them about that damn cave? I wouldn't be in this mess if I hadn't.

It was now 11:53 and my mom was sound asleep. I was about to make my way upstairs when there was a knock at the door. It was quite and low, so it must have been my friends. "Damn." I mumbled under my breath as I hesitated to open the door. I pulled it open slowly and, not to my surprise, Donovan and Kathrin were waiting outside. "Oh good you're still awake." Kathrin whispered. I nodded and grabbed my shoes, then stepped outside and shut the door. I remained silent to show that I didnt want to do this but they didnt get the hint and we went anyways. "Dude, I cant believe were actually going to the cave!" They now were loud since we were in the feild. I nodded and rolled my eyes, still remaining silent. Donovan walked along side me while Kathrin skipped along behind us. I then stopped them both. "Here it it." I muttered, pointing down to a hole in the ground. "H-How do you get down?" Kathrin said, her voice now shaky. I sat down and grabbed a root sticking in the ground and slowly Lowe's myself to the cave floor. "Well? You coming?" They looked at each other and then slowly got down themselves. Hoping the sketchy entrance would scare them off I stood at the cave entrance and waited for them to talk. "Well.. We going or what?" Donovan asked looking at me. He looked concerned and a bit scared, so I decided to get my payback for them dragging me here. "Yup! Lets go." I exclaimed pushing them both forward. "Maybe this will be fun," I thought to myself, "just maybe."
