We entered a room of the cave that was wide and deep. "I..I think we should go back." Kathrin stuttered as she turned and faced me. I looked at her sorta angry. "Oh so NOW you want to turn back?" She looked horrified, looking back and forth between me and the deep hole in the cave. I kept a straight face to show I wasn't joking. "We are going forward." I said looking at them both, "got it?" The nodded and turned back around. A skinny stone bridge lead onto more of the cave. Hesitantly we crossed it. One foot im front of the other, one person at a time. I was last so they couldn't abandon me. We finally got across and I gulped, trying not to show the fear I was feeling inside.
The next room was more complex than the last. Small platforms lined the walls but it didnt seem as of there was more rooms to the cave. Usually our path was lit by moonlite shining in through holes in the roof of the cave, but now they are no more. "Alright," I said in a low voice, "we can go now." Donovan looked at me with pleasure. We turned around and walked onto the bridge again, it felt less stable this time. "Hey Cy, you alright?" Donovan called from the other side. The bridge shook and began to collapse. My last glimpse of my friends was they mortified faces as I fell.
