The debrief couldn't finish quick enough, Six weeks, Six fucking weeks we had been out on a scouting mission and for what, to find the mining complex we had been sent to scout wasn't under clanker control? I thought to myself as I turned my armor into the engineering crew chief and got my R&R uniform on as my squad went to the chow hall, more like climbing over one another to get a half decent meal. The service droid greeted us as we walked through the door "ah welcome back 87, 24, 98! Thought you boys finally got dragged off by some Ragh ghouls for a feast." The droid joked as I answered back "ah shit they still haven't scrapped you yet Sirloin? You sure your not rusting into the chow again are you?" "You know I don't rust into the food, that's T-Bones Job." The droid joked as we lined up to be served our meals. "98, Rex wants to see you in the Comms room." An MP said as I was beginning to take a bite of a bantha patty "Really? Right Now? Can't I talk to him when I finish eating?" I asked as the MP cut me off "No Rex says it's urgent."

"General Tano, are you sure that you want to make CT-98 your subordinate, He's practically still a shiny." Rex said with a slight tone of annoyance. "Besides that he's unpredictable and barely follows orders-" He said before being cut off by Ashoka "Captain your starting to sound just like Commander Cody, it seems that there's more than just inexperience that you don't seem to trust about him, but yes I am sure, I trust him and you trust me so it's final." Ashoka said as the door to her quarters opened with a metallic woosh followed by a clone with white hair stepping into the room. "You asked to see me sir?" I asked as I stood in front of Rex and Ashoka, if Rex hadn't been there Ashoka and I wouldn't have been able to hold ourselves back. "Yes 98, as of tomorrow morning, you will be General Tano's personal subordinate officer and you will lead her troopers with dignity." Rex said in his normal authoritarian tone as he stared at me unmoving. "Yes sir, I won't let the General or you down!" I said as my arm snapped up into a salute. Ashoka gave a soft laugh as she turned to face Rex "your dismissed Captain, I wish to speak to my new subordinate in private." She said as Rex nodded and left the room and letting the door close and lock with a small hiss. I turned to face Ahsoka and was greeted by her almost knocking me over as she jumped onto me. "You've kept me waiting to long~." She whispered.
