Alec's POV
"I really don't care what you do. Find them. NOW!" To some it may seem yelling is my favorite thing in the world but in all reality I hate it. But my gang doesn't need to know that. I walk back into my office as my phone starts ringing "Talk" I say without looking at caller ID "Don't speak to me like that young man" I hear the voice of non-other than the Kings leader, Max Young, "Mr. Young, what do I owe the fine pleasure?" He sighs, "I need you to come to get Mallory, There's been a threat and I don't want her around it." I gasp, my bunny. The only girl I have ever loved, her father banned me from seeing her when I was just 14. He knew I loved her but wanted her to go be able to be free of the gang life. "I can be there in 3 hours. Ill see you then sir." I hear him say okay and I hung up. I grab the keys to my SUV and out the door, I go only texting my second in command to get a room ready for her.

***magical time skip***

I pull into the Youngs driveway seeing Mrs.Young walk out with a little girl in her arms "Alec, dear, it has been too long. You need to come to see me more. " I smile, she reminds me so much of my mom "This is Alice, she just turned 3, the only one without a twin" she says with a chuckle I laugh with her and hold Alice as she leads me in as soon as I walk in I am almost tackled by two boys, "Ken, Carter, It has been a while!" I say as they laugh. "Boys get off of him!" Mrs. Yound shrieks. "Alec dear, this way, her bags are already packed. " she says grimly "I will take care of her Mrs.  Young," I say she turns around and stares at me, "I thought I told you years ago, My name is Sasha!" I chuckle. "I'll take care of her.. Sasha." She smiles "Good. And ask that poor girl out, I know you still love her. Make her see it boy" I smile "Yes ma'am "

I carried the last of Bunnys bags out to the car and went back inside Where I was greeted with lemonade, I smile and take the glass as the boys start yelling and run outside along with Sasha. After a few minutes, I walk outside and lock eyes with My Bunny. God, she grew up well. Still looks just as shy as grade school. I keep my straight face and walk up to her dad and shake his hand exchanging a silent agreement. I turn towards her. "Bunny, are you ready?" She nods putting her little sister on the ground and gets in the car. I don't ignore the fact that she didn't speak to me. I stand outside the car with her dad as he tells me of what happened and with one more nod I climb into the car. I look towards Bunny but she looks out the window and I sigh. After about 20 mins I pull over and look at her.  "Please please just talk to me. I cannot handle it, Bunny. I need you to talk to me." I hate begging but for her, id do just about anything. I almost missed when she spoke, "Why?" It was so low I almost didn't hear her. I look down and take a deep breath, time to tell her I guess.. I look her in the eyes, "Because, damn it, I love you. That's why you haven't heard from me for 6 years, that's why your father wouldn't talk about me, that's why he kept me away from you. He wants you to marry someone normal, get out of this life." As I say this she just gapes at me. "Y-you love me?" she asks and I look down, "I have since we were kids, and I knew you didn't feel the same, and it is okay if you still don't but I need you to understand, It has been hell not talking to you. Not being able to see you. I hated it more than you." she just nods, "Alec.." I look up, "I may not love you yet, the way you love me, but I can try. " I smile, "Really?" she giggles that wonderful giggle, "Yes." I hug her, "fuck, I am taking you on a date, as soon as I can." I smile at her and she nods, I buckle back up and get back on the road.

Soon enough we were pulling into my driveway and my second in command, Zeke, walks out to greet us. He gives me a look as if asking who the hell she is and why she's here, "I'll explain later Zeke, for now, get her things and put them in the guest room on the 3rd floor please."
