Hello, Minna-san! I'm back with another chapter of CFV: Void's Vessel ^^ . I'm glad that there are people who'd liked the previous chapter- to be honest, I don't like the last chapter. Yes, I'm critizing my own work weird isn't it? It just that I made it a bit rush or something and I felt there is something missing which I cn't pinpoint what is it. Enough of my ranting. Here's chapter twenty three ! Enjoy ^-^ !

"You'll kill me won't you?"

"Yes"

It's a promise . No, it's more likely their deal.

A contract both of them agreed to face the consequences.

It's both of their curse  and they're willing to share the burden together if its for the two worlds they treasured.

"Aichi?" A voice penetrated at his thoughts , snapping him back to the surface of Earth.

Aichi removed his gaze up the sky and turned at the voice who had broke through  the silence and in his thoughts.

"Ao-san?"

No respond but Aichi waited patiently for the girl behind him to talk as she won't approach him without any reasons.

After a moment she finally speak. "Your hand"

Aichi cocked his head questioningly. "Huh?"

"Give me your hand" Ao cleared, offering er hand to Aichi to emphasize her demand.

"Why?" Despite his question Aichi complied at Ao's demand, putting his hand on Ao's palm and both of their hand glowed with a gentle neon blue after that ao removed her hand against Aichi's. The boy felt something hard and cold in his palm. Once he opened them, his eyes went wide into a suprise. In his hand, there's a beautiful blue stoned pendant like the color of the deep sea. "What's this for?" He looked up to Ao expectantly.

"It's a talisman. Mark of our contract" Ao said.

"A contract what for?" Aichi looked further confusion.

"To ascertain the future and to make sure none of us will get attatched to anyone because it will be a mess." Ao answered looking straight into Aichi's blue ones.

"But should it be just me not you?"

"This is much easier. I'll be able to watch you closely" Ao shrugged, clearly not wanting to continue their discussion as she never been fond of explanations.

Aichi nodded with a smile. "Okay! Besides I know Ao-san will never break her word even we don't do this. I know you won't hesitate to kill me when that day comes because you promised to do so!"

Kill me.. None of us must get too much attached because if we do .. Then it will clouded our judgment as emotions were known to be a nuisance and weakness. It will be our down fall and the world's curse. It will be the end of everything as we failed to fulfill both of our responsibilty...

The fight between Ao and Void continue nonstop as the other had every intentions of killing her while the other one doesn't want to wound him at the fear of losing him.
