Marigold King probably comes from one of the most prestigious wizarding families. Her family has been around for so long that rumor has it that they knew the original founders of Hogwarts. (That's just a rumor though, but still not unlikely). Marigold grew up in a big family, with her siblings, and cousins, and second cousins, and so on and so forth. Now of course with prestigious families there's always money. Lot's and lot's of money.  Of course coming from a long line of healers helps too.

Like any other wizarding family, when Marigold was 11 she received her letter to Hogwarts. And like many prestigious, pure-blooded families, Marigold was sorted into Slytherin. Marigold loved Slytherin and thrived in her house, and is still close to her old roommates to this day. They write to each other every week (they give her so much shit when she doesn't reply immediately, but Marigold loves her friends anyway).

Now it's after the Wizarding War, and everything seems to be getting back in to order. Until her father gets news that there's been some issues with the caretakers of dragons in Romania, the organization he's in charge of. And of course the King's have a house in Romania, and of course this has to become a family affair. And of course on the first day Marigold has to get into an argument with Charlie Weasley, and of course they're spending their summer together.
