Aftermath

Prolouge

I looked at felix, he looked at me. Then we both stared at the abandoned city ahead of us. You could still see smoke from the skyscrapers from the nightmare that happend nearly a year ago. Bones scattered the street like a battlefield. We ventured further into the city, staying close at all times.

There were abandoned cars, rusting away. Trees growing through the concrete, vines hanging down from the skyscrapers. Animals even made there homes here, i stared up at the sky as birds flew to buildings.

This time last year, i was walking down this street, when human life lived here... i flashed back to that time... The smell of hotdogs and people trying to sell newspapers...

My thoughts were interupted when i heard banging of hooves, a hurd of deers hopped around the corner, jumping on cars and running through the city.

Felix pulled out his gun and aimed at the deers.

"NO!" I shouted, the deers ran away down the street and away from us.

"Why did you do that? We could of had a decent meal instead of eating tinned beans." He said, with a tone of anger in his voice.

"Well sorry. But i'd prefer us to eat tinned beans than you kill an innocent creature!" I said, raising my voice.

"WELL... funny enough i'd like to eat a big, big tender juicy deer. Than eat tinned beans!" He shouted.

"WELL!!! I DONT WANT YOU KILL THINGS JUST STOP WANTING TO KILL KILL KILL!!!" I said.

"I Dont wan't to kill kill kill! I'm just sick of you keeping me from starving i'm going to die!" He screamed.

"I SAVED YOUR LIFE DIDN'T I? IF IT WASNT FOR ME YOU WOULD OF NEVER GOT IN THE BUNKER ALIVE..." i groaned, rolling my eyes.

He never replied. He pulled his gun out at me, his finger inching towards the trigger slowly. His hands shaking with fear.

Was he going to shoot me?
