The Unlikely Couple

Ch. 1 - THE BEGINNING

Ruka's POV

I look at my watch and see it's time to get up from watching television and get ready for my date. I can't wait to see Kyo, I think excitedly. I go to my closet and look for the suit I wore only on special occasions, my tuxedo, black jeans, and tie. I grab my beast looking jacket, just in case, it starts to rain. I get into my car and start on my way to the fancy restaurant Kyo picked for us, O'Charas. Whoever made that name isn't very good at that...(one of the creators) I sign and realize how lucky I was.

FLASHBACK
I look across the classroom at the crush I've had for.....a while, Kyo Sketch. I decide to tell her about my feelings for her after school, at the big blossom tree on the hill behind the school. We had known each other for around four years now and I wanted to know if we could get together at all. I start to write a friendly letter, saying to meet me at the blossom tree after school, and signing it as "your secret admirer". I smiled as the bell rang and I ran to her locker so she didn't notice me putting a letter into her locker. I slipped the note in gaps in her locker and ran off to my locker. I  put my stuff away and got my backpack, putting my math homework into it. I swing my backpack across my shoulder and grab my books assigned to me from English class. I put them into my backpack and rush out the doors wanting to get to the blossom tree as soon as possible. I run out and stand by the tree, which was a bit odd. Normally it's the girls confessing to the boys, but today it was a boy confessing to a girl. I hear someone come up the hill and look behind me, it was Kyo. "y-your my secret admirer, Ruka?" Kyo asked it sounded like she had run here, she seemed to be out of breath. "Y-yes" I reply, blushing hard. "L-listen to my Kyo...'cause it takes a lot of confidence to say this. I-I've known you since the eighth grade and I was always thinking you were, and still are, really cool. I-I guess what I'm trying to say is...is...kyo...I..umm...kyo I l-like you....a lot" That was all I had to say. Kyo hugged me and there became my first relationship with a girl I liked. I had one relationship with a girl in middle school, but we broke up not one month into our relationship.

TWO MONTHS LATER

"Ruka?" Kyo looks at me and blushes a little

"What is it, hun?" I look at her walking beside me to class, since we did have all our classes together. 

"Can we go out for dinner sometime? Maybe at...I dunno....O' Charas?"

I look at Kyo and smile. "Sure. How about tonight at six?"

"Sure! Meet ya there!" I say and run to our class and sits at her desk in the front as I walk to my desk at the back of the class.

I go through my classes, talking to Kyo when I could, and the day was over sooner than I thought it would be.

FLASHBACK ENDS

I get to the restaurant and walked up to the door, sighing before coming in to get seated.

"Hello, sir and welcome to O' Charas. How may I help you?" The waiter came up to me and said her normal introduction. 

"Um...I'm here to meet someone. Kyo Sketch?" I ask the waiter, who is kind of short. She looks at a list behind what looks like a stool and she nods. "Right this way sir. She's at table six."

I look at Kyo as the waiter sits me down and asks for what I wanted to drink. "Oh..how about some water please?" I ask and the waiter and she wrights it down and walks off, leaving me and Kyo alone. Kyo was in a beautiful red dress with a necklace that had a green birthstone at the end of it. The awkward silence was too much so I decided to break it.

Kyo's POV

I got here a bit too early and got showed to my seat at table six. I ordered water; I couldn't order a Cocktail because I was only seventeen. I sat and waited, as the time slowly ticked by, sipping at my water, sending the waiters away when they ask if I'm ready to order, telling them that I'm waiting on someone.  I sigh, seeming bored and I look around the restaurant, seeing Tora and Spade at table eight. They seemed to be having a date as well, laughing at things I couldn't hear. I sigh, looking out the window and spotting Ruka walking up to the door. I saw him tell the waiter who he was looking for, and his face brightens up as he saw me. I looked at Tora and Spade, who was talking and pointing at us until they noticed me. 'I think they're plotting something... (*wink wink*)They know Ruka and me are together.....wait, we have never kissed before...' I thought and I blush a little. Ruka orders water; he can't get a Cocktail either, he's only a month older than me. An awkward silence reaches over the table until Ruka broke it. "You look amazing Kyo." I start to blush uncontrollably and say"T-thanks y-you look pre-Hansom too Ruka, "I say stuttering a little. I see Ruka start to blush as well and it makes me feel a little better, even if my face stays the same color of red. The waiter comes up and we order our food; Spaghetti. We drop jokes on each other and talk about games like the nerds we were until our spaghetti came and we ate it. "Mmmm~ that spaghetti was great!" I exclaimed after we had finished. "Sure was good~," Ruka says, looking at his watch. He looks at me with a wide smile and he gets up, as I do the same. "It's late. We should get going" He says and we walk to the door. "Well, this was fun. We should do this more often." I say, our faces getting kind of close.

Ruka's POV

I say my goodbye, our faces kind of close. I suddenly feel a shove on my back and I collide into Kyo, my shock preventing me to notice what happened. I gather my thoughts and hear giggles behind me. I knew those giggles, it was Tora and Spade. I also realize why they pushed us and blushed hard. My lips were touching Kyo's....we were forced into a kiss! We stay in this position for about five seconds before we separated. "S-sorry-" I was cut off my apology by another kiss. Kyo kissed me again and voluntarily. I leaned into the kiss and she backed off. "You excused from all apologies for now.." Kyo says before walking off to her car. A little dazed I walk over to the door and open it, the rush of air pushing me out of the dazed stance. 'My first kiss! With my crush! A MONTH IN AS WELL!!' I thought as I got into my car and drove home.
