i walked out with my new partner and we both had went separate ways to our offices. i was thinking about our next mission, how hard it would be.

she wasn't used to the mafia life yet, she was still learning the ropes and she got paired with someone so high ranked? i get that out abilities are pretty compatible but otherwise, we aren't good choices for each other.

and third ranked subordinate to CHUUYA?? why? she just started and she's already close to being at the executive level? i don't understand. why does mori think this is a good choice?

out of pure anger, i paraded to mori's office. i slammed the door open and repeated the same motion to close it. "what a surprise. what do you need akutagawa?" mori asked me, he seemed interested in what i had to say.

"why is the new girl ranked so high?"

he looked at me with skepticism in his eyes. he gave a little smile and began to indulge me into his thought process.

"well akutagawa, she has many reasons to be a high rank, first reason is that she has two abilities which is quiet rare." ok, she has something rare, all of us have rare abilities.

"second, she scored the highest on her entrance exam into the mafia, a shocking 98/100" ok, she did good on the exam, big deal, not really.

"third, she has the confidence to accomplish the task we are going to assign her. she hasn't figured out that she really does have self-confidence." ok, she has a good attitude, whatever.

"fourth, (y/n) had very good connections with the ada, as she told them that she was going to work from home. so, she can still get records from the ada." i understand that. she can be a good informative broker.

"fifth, she is actually tachihara's sister, they just don't share a last name, as their parents are divorced. she was trained for this type of thing." oh wow. i didn't know tachihara had a sister.

"sixth, she has an athletic build and is good in battle from what i've heard." from what you've heard.

"seventh, she-" "ok i get it, she has lots of advantages that we can use, thank you. i'll be going to my office." i then opened and closed the door carefully this time, trying to not get yelled at.

i still cannot believe that she's a higher rank than me. she's almost an executive for fucks sake.

i feel like akutagawa is mad at me. i didn't feel confident in the relationship with my partner. he always seemed pissed off with me, even when i didn't do anything.

i felt weird since our encounter in the parking lot. my back still aches from the syringe stabbing me.

our first mission is tomorrow and i'm worried about how he's going to react to my strategy. i hope it ends well.
