"Honk! Honk!"
Sean looks up from the book he's reading, furrowing his brows as a car pulls up next to him while he's walking to his next class.
The tinted windows roll down, revealing a handsome young man in his early 20s, staring up at him from under those shades, chewing some gum.
Sean immediately stops in his tracks and raises an eyebrow. His face is unfazed by the man's distinguished aura and exceptionally good looks. "Can I help you, sir?" Always the prim and proper Sean, even when he's talking to strangers. His heart is beating slightly faster than usual though. Damn Rose and her affinity with good looking men.
"Yeah yeah, do you know where I can park my car around here? I've been driving in circles and it seems like no one is around. There aren't even Cleaners to ask for help from! What kind of school don't have workers everywhere? No wonder the bushes aren't trimmed well. And I thought this was supposed to be an elite school." The man complains and removes his sunglasses.
Sean feels the heat rush to his cheeks as he stares at the beautiful man's face in front of him. Calm down Rose. You are Sean right now. There are plenty of good looking men around campus and yet, you can be as cool as a cucumber. This isn't any different.
"Umm," Sean swallows his saliva and notices the man scanning him head to toe, suddenly feeling intimidated but he stands his ground, "The students do our own cleaning and taking care of the school grounds. That's why you don't see any workers around. Where are you heading to? Then I can tell you where to park your car properly."
The man smirks, "Wow what great boys, I mean men you all are. Okay sure, I'm heading to your Principle's Office actually. I have a meeting there."
Sean nods. "Then Sir, you can head on straight to Block E and park your car behind the building. The office is just a short walk from there. You can follow the signs."
"You don't have to call me Sir. You make me sound so old. Please call me Sila." The man flashes a charming smile.
"Okay P'Sila." Still ever so respectful Sean.
Sila raises an eyebrow and then extends his hand out the window, waiting for Sean to shake on it. "And may I have your name?"
"Ro-Sean... my name is Sean." Sean stutters and mentally kicks himself in the head.
The man is still waiting for Sean to shake his hand and tilts his head cutely, nodding towards his hand.
Sean widens his eyes and grabs Sila's hand, suddenly feeling small and delicate in Sila's manly grip. "Well, thanks for your help Sean and nice to meet you." Sila gives his trademark charming smile again.
Sean blushes. Wait, Sean never blushes. Only Rose does. He mentally kicks himself again. "Yes, nice to meet you too."
Their hands were still shaking and Sean finds himself lost in Sila's smouldering eyes.
But he snaps out of it and realise that he was the one holding onto Sila's hand, not the other way round. He immediately lets go of Sila's hand and stares at his feet embarrassingly.
"Well, see you around Sean! Hope I don't get lost again. Haha." Sila half smiles, half smirks and pulls up the window, driving away.
Sean finds himself smiling like an idiot and then slaps himself for real this time. "You imbecile!" He scolds himself. Or more like scolding Rose.
He opens his book once more and then sighs, "This is why I shouldn't have chosen to read Dr Jackall and Mr Hyde for literature..."
