Lucy:

"You know what Holly, I'm really parched. You could make some tea and... some biscuits would be great." I said. There was a silence. Then Holly gave her trademark smile and said "Sure, Lucy" and she disappeared in the kitchen.
We were at the Wintergarden house and Holly had just asked if she could help. After wearing Lockwood's agent jacket and using my old rapier. I had nothing against her except that she was too precious and finicky and controlling!

As she disappeared Lockwood faced me with a look of distaste, "You have to be a bit more generous" he said. I felt a dull pang of... Anger? He had been acting so distant lately. It made me so angry. Part of me knew I was being unreasonable but... "Lockwood..." I started, he cut me off as Holly appeared, "Holly, why don't you stay within my circle, the apparition is about to start". That was true. There was a slight drop in the temperature and a miasma was building. "What about George? He is still at the archives" I said. "The apparition can't wait, can it?...I'll have to talk to George, that's the second time he is late this week. Anyway, Luce, take your position in the circle on the third floor". I didn't trust myself to speak then. I felt so... Ugh! I'm not one of those college girls, talking about feelings every now and then. I was an Agent. I shook away the self pity and slowly climbed the staircase as ghost fog started to build.

I was in my circle as I heard Holly and Lockwood whispering softly. I opened my bag and popped some gum and began chewing furiously. And then there was a sudden drop in temperature, I could hear two pairs of footsteps, one swift and light and the other heavy and loud. The apparition had started...
