those four words circled my mind for a good 30 minutes until ellie started to speak with her loud ass mouth "AMARI"

"what ellie" i rolled my eyes and sunk into my chair "what's going on between you and max?"  ellie chewed on her fire and smirked at me

"uh.. nothing we're just friends" i said looking at my phone for the 100th time today. ellie looked over at me weirdly "what?" i asked annoyed 

"who is soooo important that you're looking at your phone twenty-four seven mari?" ellie tilted her head to the side "nobody.. mind your business" i said

"hey amari" max said shyly "oh.. hi max!" 

"i-i was wondering if you wanted to go to the spring dance together" max played with his fingers while making eye contact with the floor 

"i'd love to" i smiled to him, he looked at me and his eyes lit up "really !" i nodded. he smiled and hugged me "thank you thank you thank you" 

"no problem" i smiled

"i got you these" he handed me chocolate and some flowers "it's not everything, but i tried at least" "no it's prefect, thanks max" i hugged him one more time and he ran off 

"i know that look... my best friend has a crush ooo" 

"shut up ellie" i threw a flower petal at her and she snorted "ew" i said laughing even harder "it's not funny amari"
