One Year Later...

"I love you guys and I will you see you very soon" I finished the video and got up. I'd edit it later, I didn't feel like doing much at the moment.
"I'm exhausted" I yelled, dropping to the floor.
Jc stepped over my body, "Well get up and let's go get some food. I'm starving."
We had just gotten back from our tour with the Magcon boys and I had yet to buy any food. Going on tour was probably one of the most amazing things I had ever gotten the opportunity to do. Never in my life did I think I would be able to do something like that and never in a million years did I think millions of people would come out to see us - to see me. To say I was still in shock would be an understatement.
Jc looked at me for a minute.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Well Lia's having a party..." he trailed off.
"And?" I asked, confused as to why he looked so uncomfortable. "Do you not want to go?"
"Oh no, I'm definitely going but you're invited too."
"Do you not want me near her? Are you afraid she's going to realize that I'm the cooler, hotter, better one?" I teased, raising my fingers and wiggling them around.
"Speaking of impossible scenarios.."
I laughed, "Okay so what's up?"
"Well she invited Jenn..."
"Oh cool. I haven't seen her in a while."
"Yeah but Andrea's coming with her."
I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. Andrea and I had dated for a year and she had been, without a doubt, the most important person at my life at the time. I had only had one other girlfriend in my entire life and that had been in the eighth grade. It was nothing compared to the relationship I had had with Andrea. She had been my first real love and my first real heartbreak. We had drifted apart but that didn't mean it still didn't hurt when it ended. I had gotten so accustomed to her being around that when she broke up our relationship she also broke me.
"Oh. That's cool. Haven't seen her in a while either. Besides, we broke up six months ago" I answered, trying to appear unfazed.
Jc looked at me skeptically. "So you're okay with that? You're still coming?"
"Well yeah, why wouldn't I?"
"You know why, man. I just want to make sure that you're okay. You know that I'm here for you if you want to talk about it" he said.
I didn't. "I don't" I said, "but thanks."
Jc nodded and walked over to my laptop.
"Mind if I log onto my account?"
"Nah go for it." I said, deep in thought.
"Aha dude, all my recommended videos are of our tour. This is fucking crazy"
I shook my head and laughed.
"Listen to the title of this one '#Vegas, O2L+Magcon, and bacon'" he read, "clicking it."
I chuckled.
I fumbled with my phone and began to play with the ringer settings to distract myself from the thoughts of Andrea that still lingered around.
"Hey! What's up guys? Okay so, as a lot of you may know I just went to vegaaaaas. So I just thought I'd make a video catching you all up to speed. I realize I've been a little lost but I swear things are going to change because well, I'll tell you at the end of this video. Anyway, while in Vegas I got to eat - "
"Fast forward, fast forward" Jc said as he fast forwarded along.
"OKAY! So I have been an O2L fan since .. well for a while now and I finally got to see them and I just.. wow. Let me just say that they're much cooler and taller in person. They also happen to have great taste in food - Jc, I'm talking about you."
"Aye! I just got a shoutout" Jc yelled "and you're right, I do".
"He seriously ordered hot wings while on stage... I honestly have no words. I just. I - just watch this clip" the girl continued.
I looked up and watched as a delivery man weaved his way towards the stage to hand Jc his order. I started laughing as I watched everyone's disbelieving face, mine included.
My laughter died as the clip ended and the girl continued the video.
Her hair was lighter, and her skin was darker, probably from being in the sun all summer. Her smile still had the same effect on me. Her nose was small, her hair was long and her eyes were still as bright as ever.
"That was honestly one of my favorite parts. Well that and when Kian and Matt deided to have an impromptu karaoke session." she continued.
"Oh look, you got a shoutout too" Jc quipped.
"Shh" I told him, using my hand to cover his mouth.
"Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet them in person because I had to hurry up and get to this very important meeting I had to get to. I did however get to take a picture with them. How is that possible if I didn't get to meet them? Well, just check out my instagram at AmiMari" or click on the link below" she said pointing downwards. "Now you're probably asking yourself, 'what meeting could possibly tear Amia away from the perfection that is O2L?' well you all know how much I love PacSun. I mean, seriously." she pointed towards her black t-shirt that featured a pizza "and they have asked me to design a line! I can't even.. I don't understand how - " she shook her head and it looked like she was trying not to cry.
I stopped the video and just stared at her.
"May I speak now or?" Jc asked, his voice coming out a little muffled because my right hand was still over his mouth.
I took my hand away and clicked on the link waiting to see the picture. I definitely would've remembered meeting her.
I instantly starting laughing. She had taken an old picture of an O2L meet and greet and added her face over another fan's. She didn't even attempt to make it look realistic. Her face was inside a white box and didn't match the background at all. I laughed even harder when I read her caption "not photoshoped #love".
"Who is she?" Jc asked quietly.
"Some girl" I answered.
I unlocked my phone and opened up instagram. After Andrea and I started dating I unfollowed every girl I had ever thought was hot out of respect. Amia included.
I searched her up and refollowed her. I was about to exit out of the app before Jc asked any questions and a picture caught my eye.
It was a picture of her and Matt. Matt was laughing and she was making a "I'm so over this picture" face at the camera. Her caption read "hanging out with this one all weekend" and a little palm tree emoji added next to it.
I stood up and glanced at Jc who was staring at me as if I had grown a second head.
"Hey, Matt's still in Cali."
"So?"Jc asked.
"So, let's go visit him."
