Collage Freshman

Where do I go from here? I looked down at the school map. I didn't know my way around campus very well. I walked around from building to building. Eventually I found the dorm building, then I learned something I didn't expect. The dorm rooms were co-ed. I looked for my dorm, I met my roommate there.

"Hey, who are you?" He asked.

"Oh, sorry. My name's Sonic, I think I'm your roommate," I introduced myself to the grey hedgehog.

"You think?" He walked up to me, "Let me see your room card," he held out his hand.

"Right," I put my things down next to me and searched my pockets. I found the card and handed it to him, "Here."

"Yeah, this is room number 412," he said, "You're bed is on the left."

"Thank you so much, I've been lost this entire time," I bowed my head.

"You don't need those formalities around me," he answered, "You're a freshman right?"

"Yeah, this is my first year staying here," I answered.

"No wonder your lost," he led me inside as I grabbed my things.

"What about you? What's your name?" I asked, setting my things next to my bed.

"Mephilies, I'm a senior," he answered.

"Wow, a senior. I thought I'd be with another freshmen," I said.

"The dorm set ups are random until senior year. You can sign up to stay with a friend or with a freshmen," he explained.

"Do you like helping freshmen?"

"No, but I figure the freshman I was paired up with would be more interested in going to the parties. So they'd never be home and I'd almost always have a room to myself."

"Smart plan, but I'm not much of a partier. Sorry. I do plan to get a part time job so I won't be here all the time."

"That's nice. Just don't over work yourself," he said, "that door is the closet, and that one is the bathroom. The dresser next to your bed is yours. The ground floor is a lounge area with a TV and couch. Everyone and the the entire dorm gets together to vote on what to add. You'll have to pitch in a few bucks here and there. They're working on a video game counsel and four controls right now."

"Oh cool," I started folding my cloths into my dresser.

"Don't be to excited. We still don't know which game to pick."

"You should pick about three," I suggested, that way it not always the same."

"All students report to the lounge. It's time to welcome the freshmen! YEAH!" The P.A system announced. Next thing I heard was a bunch of screaming and shouting from the halls.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Go and find out," Mephilies said.

"You're not coming?"

"These events aren't really my style."

"Okay, I'll see you later then," I grabbed my room card, phone, wallet, and left.

I followed the group of students to the lounge. There was a huge party going on. I was pushed into the group of freshmen, only reason I could tell was because we were all confused.
