Like it was just a dream

Date or not

So taking you seat at a table you still wondering weather it's a date or not. You build the courage to ask him so you say...
You: Payton, umm.. is.. umm.. umm..
Pay: Yea
You: Never mind
Pay: ok

You so angry that you couldn't ask him. Anyway that feeling leave your mind as you stare at Payton just thinking wether this is a dream or not. So to make sure it's not you go to the bathroom and talk to yourself saying, " ok if this is a dream then if I slap myself then I would wake up." So you try it but nothing happened beside the fact that it hurt and now you have a red patch on your face.
You go back to the table.

Pay: Oh are you ok! * he looks so concerned*
You: oh yea, that's always been there.* you thinking, omg he cares, ahhh, you so happy*
Pay: Are you hungry?
You: umm sorta.
Pay: ok, what would you like to eat.
You: well I don't really know yet.
Pay: oh um I know, would you like to share a pizza.
You: Yes * omg this must be a date, we are sharing a pizza*

He goes on his phone and then things starts to become awkward and silent. You can't help but stare at him. So to break the silence you say...

You: Payton why are we here??
Pay: Oh umm because we both hungry.
You: oh well yea but why did you ask me instead of the other girls that you meet today?
Pay: you ask a lot of questions lol. Well you see there's something different about you.
You: oh um thanks I guess* you have nothing else to ask cause he called you different which means he might just like you*

You jumping of excitement because this might just be a date and he might just like you more than a friend. Like that's something big, but you can't think of that right now cause you food comes. You eat the pizza talking about the playlists and about him and yourself.

Pay: So are you ready to go?
You: Yes * sad that the night is already over , even tho it was 6pm*

You get all your stuff and gets into the car and drives. Even tho you didn't find out wether that was a date or not but whatever it was you were happy that it happened and that it happened to you.
