my friends and as well as my laughter quiet down as we heard someone yelling out my name.
i looked over to the direction of where i heard the voice and saw darci walking up to my friends and i.
she has a camera wrapped around her neck and she was wearing an oversized hoodie with gray sweatpants, her hair in a messy bun.
"hey darci." i waved at her, giving her a small smile.
once she was standing in front of me, my friend, corbyn, let out a soft cough.
my head snapped up towards them and let out a nervous laugh before looking back at darci, "guys meet darci. darci, meet corbyn, daniel, zach, and jack."
the four boys mumbled out a small "hello" while darci waved at them.
"hey jonah, we'll catch you up later. class is about to start." zach spoke up, making the rest of the boys gather up their stuff.
i nodded, "see you at lunch?"
they nodded, "it was nice meeting you darci." Daniel said, giving her a small smile but sending me a quick wink.
i rolled my eyes and sat on the bench, looking at darci. "you can sit if you want."
darci smiled and sat down next to me. "thanks."
"So what's with the camera?"
darci looked down at her camer and lifted it up, "it for film class. the assignment is to capture something beautiful."
"take a picture of me." i smirked, getting up from the bench.
darci laughed quietly but brought the camera to her face and it held it to my direction.
i looked straight at the camera and shook my head, looking away and smiled.
the loud ringing of the bell rang through our ears, signaling us it was the end of study hall.
"I'll see you in 4th, bye jonah." darci stood up from the bench and gave me a smile before heading into the school's building.
