After returning to my rooms, I changed into a floor length sea foam green dress. That had gold trimming along with long sleeves that brushed against the floor and with a split up the middle of the dress.
Once I was dressed I entered into my private dinning chamber that's connected to my bed chamber. And as I entered I was greeted by the three princes as they each rose to their feet and gave me a small bow.
"Please your graces there's no need to do that here, after all we are alone." I said while extending my hand as a sign for them to be seated. "Still your grace we were always taught to give respect when it was needed.", said Prince Hector as he helped me to be seated. Once I was in my seat the three brothers took up their places around me, Prince Hector to my left, Prince Marcus to my right, and Prince Tristian across from me. Finally in are places the servants brought in our food and placed it before each of us and with a bow they all exited the room so that the four of us were alone yet again. "You three must be famished please help yourselves.", I said as I rose my glass to my lips to take a sip. As we all ate in silence I closely watch the princes as they ate and once we had reach a decent point in our meal the conversation picked up.
"I hear your quit the warrior Prince Hector, that there has yet to be an enemy that you haven't bested in the battlefield. Tell me is that true? And if so what is your preferred weapon of choice?" Hector looked down then before locking eyes with me as he began to speak, but before he could he was cut off my his younger brother Tristian. "Surely a queen wouldn't want to hear about battles and weapons especially at the dinner table.", Tristan said with a expiated breath. With a smirk I turned my eyes to the youngest brother as I spoke saying. "And why wouldn't she? Ahh I know why, because you assume that all queens are delicates and wouldn't want to hear of such things. Well my prince my father was a warrior. In fact if you were to ask some of the people in my kingdom, they would tell you my father was a warrior through and through. And his love and knowledge of battles he had no choice but to pass it on to me for he was not as luck as your father to be blessed with any sons. So for me the current topic of conversation is quite suitable."
"Ha Ha, finally you've met someone to put you in your place.", exclaimed his brother Marcus. At that Hector joined in with a deep yet small chuckled his own before answered my question. "Yes your grace, it's true I have yet to be defeated on the battlefields even in the training yard." "That must get rather boring though don't you think?", I said. "What do you mean your grace?", Hector asked slightly confused. "What I mean is that it must get tiring, winning all the time plus it means that you can't learn from your mistakes along with making you overly proud. To the point where you then make a foolish mistake when you can't afford one.""Like inviting three foreign princes into your private chambers to dine with them alone without even one guard with you?" My eyes then shot up to Tristan, who staring right back at me with his eyebrow arched. Looking him up and down I took another sip of my drink before smirking at him and then speaking with a chuckle. "Actually Prince Tristan that's not foolish at all. For even if said foreign princes tried to do anything to me, they would be dead before they even stood up from their seats. You see Prince Hector," I began saying as I turned to look at hector as I spoke. "You and your brothers are not the only warriors sitting in this room. In fact I just came up with a clever idea, why don't you join me tomorrow morning for my training session." Hector looked to his brothers before he locked eyes with me and said. "I would be honored your grace." With a smile of my own I said, "Good." Looking around the table I saw that we had all finished our meal and knew it was now time to retire. So I rose to my feet and the princes did the same as I bid them a good nights rest. But before I let them leave I told them to wait. "Prince Hector I will still need to know your weapon of choice so I can have one ready for you. And Prince Marcus And Prince Tristan please feel free to explore the village and the castle I will make sure one of my ladies show you the way."
Prince Tristan and Prince Marcus both bowed their head as they exited the room. Hector smiles after them before turning back to me and saying. "I use a broad axe your grace."
With a smirk of my own I walked up to Hector and rose up on my toes to plant a gentle kiss to his cheek before speaking again. "Thank you Prince Hector." He surprised me then when he lean down a place a kiss to my cheek as well before saying. "No, thank you and please just call me Hector." With a full smile now I said, "Alright but only if you call me by my given name; Amelia." Nodding his head hector spoke again, "Amelia. It's a beautiful name for a beautiful woman. Well goodnight Amelia, I look forward to training with you tomorrow."
"Goodnight Hector, I'll see you tomorrow." I said as he walked out of the dinning chamber closing the door behind. Making sure the door was locked I returned to my bed chamber and made myself ready for bed. As I laid in bed I couldn't help but to think about the Prince. But not the one I was seeing tomorrow, no I was think about the youngest Tristan. There was something about I just couldn't quite put my finger on but I was more than determined to find out what.
