Sorry it took so long to make this chapter! I was in the mood for angst so I started this and I had a lot of ideas. Artwork and video is not mine. I am also starting a new fanfic of Rusame (The countryhumans Version). That has kept me busy. Anyways I hope you like this chapter! p.s. the song above doesn't have anything to do with the story I just really like it.

———————————————————————————

It was stressful...

Although it had been months since Katsuki's kidnapping but he was still paranoid and scared. He refused to admit it to anyone but the nightmares kept him from convincing himself that he was alright. He kept up his angry facade so no one suspected anything , but Shoto was smart. He knew right away that something had changed in the explosive boy that he once knew. He noticed how he flinched at people suddenly grabbing him, and how he had bags under his eyes, and how everyday just for a moment when he thinks no one is looking he rests his scowl that was hiding the scared boy underneath.

Shoto knew a thing or two about trauma. He knew how it felt to feel like you will never be okay again. He knew that Katsuki was suffocating in his own mind begging for help. He found himself mad when no one found out about what was so clear to him. Everything was just how it used to be, except for Katsuki.

Katsuki has always intrigued Shoto. Shoto wondered how someone could be so passionate About everything they did. How he could scowl 24/7 and his mouth not get sore. He wondered these things, but recently he had wondered other things about the blond. He found himself wondering how he could help the boy that was so obviously not okay. He also found himself wondering if Katsuki's attitude was a facade the whole time; Of course it wasn't all the time, but as he started paying attention to Katsuki he saw him in a different light. He also had to stop himself from asking questions that led to something he wasn't ready to admit. Such as the question of how soft his lips are, how tiny are his hips "it looks so smal- ahh stop it", and finally he wondered if he could help the boy in anyway possible "maybe if I cuddled wi- brain! No."(Authors note: I cant be the only one who actually talks to their brain like this)

Shoto refused to admit that he had feelings for the boy he thought about all the time. He refused to admit that he watched Katsuki to make sure he was alright. He refused to admit that he loved the way his lips moved when he talked. He refused to admit that he loved when Katsuki talked to him, even if it was just to yell at him or call him names. He refused to admit that he was completely and utterly in love with Bakugo Katsuki

Shoto found himself drawn to the blond at any given time, always wanting to be next to Katsuki. The blond didn't seem to notice nor did anyone else so he was safe, hell Shoto himself didn't want to admit that he sought out the hot headed hero-in-training.

It was a particularly quiet afternoon when a bunch of the more bubbly students of 1A  barged into the rooms of their unsuspecting classmates yelling about all of them having a movie night. Shoto was one of the last downstairs so when he got there he found that they even convinced Bakugo to come. Shoto would refuse it but he totally acted like a giddy little kid when he saw an open spot next to Bakugo.

They watched a few comedies, a rom-com, and they now found themselves turning on a horror. Todoroki couldn't say that he did not enjoy this night but it wasn't because of the movies. Shoto caught himself looking at Bakugo most of the time. His eyes a duller shade of red than usual, he found his jaw relaxed not a scowl in sight, he also notice how he was fighting off sleep. When Bakugo's eyes did finally fall shut Shoto, acting like a little kid again, pulled the blond closer to him so he could rest the sleeping teens head on his shoulder. He was much more focused on the movie now that Bakugo was asleep and basically cuddling with him. It wasn't too scary but when the first jump scare arrived a few teens screamed and Bakugo woke up without even noticing how close he was to Todoroki. He looked so frightened so he quickly, and quietly, ran to his room. Nobody notice because they were all too focused  on the movie.

Shoto didn't know when he excused himself from the couch and start walking towards Katsuki's dorm. When he arrived he just stood there for a second, that is until he herd quiet sobbing behind the door. Shoto acted upon instinct so instead of knocking he barged into the room to find a sobbing Katsuki sitting frightened in the corner of his dorm room. Shoto figured that he frightened the crying boy in front of him so he closed the door and rushed over to Katsuki and held him.

They say there for what felt like hours, Katsuki's tears had slowed but still held onto Shoto like it was the end of the world. All the while Shoto was whispering sweet nothings into the others ear. It was quiet, not in the  room but in Katsuki's head. This was the first time that his thoughts had completely gone silent, and he found himself calm. That is until the Shoto spoke up "Are you okay? Well I know your not okay but I...but I was just wondering if-" Shoto was then interrupted by a soft sniffle and Katsuki saying "Why do YOU, of all people, care."

Shoto then took a second to process the question, 'why did he care.' "Well I care about you because I know what your going through, I care because I want the old Bakugo back even tho he is angry all the time, I care because" Shoto struggled to get it out but when he was about to he was interrupted again. "Because?" Katsuki said while looked up at him with hopeful eyes. This was it, Shoto had to finally put on his big boy pants and admit it. "I care because I love you" Shoto answered  with as much confidence as he could muster.

Everything seemed to stop, for a while nobody said anything. They just stared, Shoto was worried that Katsuki was disgusted and Katsuki's head was going haywire.

Shoto started panicking "ya know, I'm gonna leave. I'm sorry I intru-" for a third time in one sitting he was interrupted but this time it was with a kiss. Shoto looked at the boy kissing him and saw that his eyebrows were screwed and eyes squeezed shut. He didn't want Shoto to leave. Katsuki pulled back thinking he messed up when Shoto put a hand on the others cheek. Shoto slowly brought them into another kiss, this one was softer than the one Katsuki pulled Shoto into and sweeter too. They softly kissed until they had to break away for air. They looked at each other with half-lidded eyes which held more love than anyone could imagine.

"Do you want to be my boyfriend?" Shoto asked testing the waters. Katsuki just nodded and wrapped his hands around Shoto's body and hugged him. Shoto picked up the slightly shorter boy from the floor and moved the both of them to the bed. "Don't go" Katsuki said in a muffled voice due to having his face in the others shirt. "I wouldn't dream of it" Shouto said in a soothing voice. They repositioned themselves so they could be more comfortable in the bed. They fell asleep and for the first time in forever (please no) there were no nightmares, Katsuki was gonna be okay. Shoto would make sure of that
