That's how their life was. They lived domestic lives together as the heroes they had always hoped to be. Kirishima grew up to become the number five hero, inspiring and loved by many children. Bakugou soon became the number one hero he had always aspired to be so dearly.
Their lives seemed to be almost perfect but, like most cases, it was too good to be true.
One day, there was an accident in the city. Both Kirishima and Bakugou came to help. Kirishima had no problem helping citizens stuck under debris. But his now husband wasn't doing well. Bakugou had fallen into an unstable part of the area. He was stuck.
Red Riot pounded through the rocks to find his love. When he found him, fear that he had been too late flooded through him.
"Katsuki, you better not leave me!"
Kirishima repeated these words as he rushed him to a hospital. Bakugou was barely breathing when they arrived, but his husband knew how strong he was. He believed he could make it.
Soon enough, he got the results back from the frantic doctor. Bakugou had suffered severe head trauma. On top of that, his explosion in small spaces could have effected his hearing. Kirishima thanked the doctor. Bakugou was rushed into surgery immediately to find and stop any internal bleeding.
Minutes passed, then hours. Bakugou was in a coma. Kirishima felt numb to everything. He felt like something in his life was missing. And the loneliness he felt when he had to sleep alone can't even be described.
Kirishima waited. He waited for Bakugou to wake up. He would wait forever for him to wake up.
Nearly a week had passed. Kirishima was sitting by Bakugou's hospital bed in the dull room. A bird outside the window had caught his attention. He jumped in his chair when something cold touched his hand.
"Katsuki...Katsuki!"
Kirishima scrambled to hold the man laying in front of him. "You scared me!"
"I didn't hear what you said," Bakugou mumbled weakly. He wrapped his arms around Kirishima.
Kirishima smiled through the tears pouring out of his eyes. He knew everything would be okay.
Bakugou went on to make a full recovery. He was not drastically effected by anything other than his hearing, which was helped with the hearing aids the doctor suggested.
The two fell back into routine. Every morning they kissed each other goodbye before heading to work. Every evening, Bakugou came home to make dinner. Every night... well I'm sure you already know that part.
The incidents and misfortunes they suffered only made their love and connection stronger. While Bakugou couldn't hear much anymore, he was still very useful in the world of heroes. He worked on his rescue skills and before long he was working alongside his husband in major accident.
They adopted children and dogs. They raised them all with love. They grew old together in their home.
They loved each other until the end.
