This is a Malira story (and my first one, ever).
Contains strong language
Set when Malia is still a coyote and before she meets the pack. Kira has met the pack and has started to understand the supernatural world. They are looking for Malia because they think she is in the woods somewhere and think that they can help.
*Malia POV*
There is this scent that is driving me crazy. I can't quite work out what it is. Normally, I would assume that someone is trying to threaten my territory but it the scent seems to relax me. Even though my coyote is the body of my appearance, I feel like it has gained control of my muscles. Everything inside of me is telling me to follow the smell but I feel like it could be a bad idea. It could be a trap, you never know.
*Kira POV*
I am currently helping Scott and the rest of his, no, our pack find what we think is a girl our age trapped inside a coyote. Apparently, Stiles' father is the sheriff and was looking through some old cases, and he thinks this poor girl could still be alive. For some reason, I feel connected to her, like a modern version of Ella Fitzgerald and Marilyn Monroe. I let out a sigh because I feel like I have spent too much time listening to my dad talk about the history of the 1950's.
We all decide to split up because we can cover more ground at once. Of course Derek and Stiles go together because they are he wants to 'protect' Stiles and definitely not because he wants to kiss him to pieces. I keep telling myself that they are not dating but there is so much sexual tension between the pair that sometimes I just can't help myself. Anyway, I am heading toward the North because that is what my fox is telling me to do and somehow I feel like she is there.
*Malia POV*
The scent is getting stronger, harder to resist and ignore. My brain acts on instinct and decides to follow it. My four paws start at a steady pace before they break into a run. Sometimes, I wish I was human purely because I wouldn't have such strong senses. The scent is getting closer and closer. A few seconds later, I could hear the sounds of a heartbeat. I ran faster and faster. Then, I could taste the flavour of perfume. After that, I saw a beautiful girl, standing there looking at me. I cautiously trotted up to her and rubbed my fur against her leggings. My coyote whimpered.
"Guys, I found her!" The girl screamed. Was she looking for me?
A boy appeared out of the trees, his scent invading my territory. I jumped in front of the girl and growled at the boy. For some reason, my senses told me to protect her, even though she looked like she could protect herself.
"Scott, get back. I don't think she likes you," The girl informed.
"Okay, but how come she likes you so much?" Scott questioned.
"Because I am not a werewolf?" She suggested.
It was then when I realised that the werewolf had invaded my territory. He wasn't allowed to be here. I pounced on him, knocking him out. A shocked sound came out of the girl's mouth. I couldn't let her run away so I knocked her out as well. I needed to understand why I had a connection with the girl so I decided to bite her sleeve and drag her to my den.
I finally got there and I instantly felt guilty. I had literally just kidnapped a girl and knocked out her werewolf friend. I could sense that she wasn't completely human, but I didn't care. All that dragging caused me to become tired, so I decided to lie down on top of the girl; just in case she woke when I fell asleep. My eyes became tired so I started to close them, drifting off to sleep.
