Natsu's P.O.V.
(A few days later)
"I'M BACK SUCKUS!!!" I sneered while kicking down the door.
I laughed loudly while everyone just groaned at me for disturbing the peace and quiet.
"Natsu! Why didn't you bring me with you?" The flying blue cat innocently asked me. "I could've helped you."
"Aw! Sorry little buddy. I needed to be alone for a while. But I promise, the next job I go on, you'll be there with me. How's that sound?"
"Aye sir!"
I laughed at the cat's enthusiasm and walked over to Lucy to bother her. I don't why I do that, it's just fun. Plus, Gray isn't here to annoy.
"Heya Lucy! Whatcha doin?! Wanna fight?! Come on, let's fight! No magic! Just you, me, and our fist!" I dragged her out of her chair with no effort, even though she was thrashing around.
"Let go of me! I'm not your personal punching bag! Go find someone else to bother! Put me down! Leave me alone! LET ME GO!" I laughed even more seeing her struggle against my hold.
I was a about to throw her, when a giant ice block knocked me off my feet causing me to drop Lucy in the process.
"Did you really have to hurt me in the process Gray!" Lucy yelled at the stupid ice prick.
"Jeez! I was just tryna help you Lucy. You should of said something if you didn't want me to help you with stupid here." The ice stripper sighed holding his signature 'I don't give a fuck face.... Kinda hot... wait? What?!
"Stay out of this, pervy popsicle!"
"How bout you leave Lucy alone ya pyro! Don't you do anything besides picking fights with people!"
"Of course I do! I eat and sleep when I want to!" I growled.
He sighed then rolled his eyes. "Man, you're such an idiot sometimes. Can't you just grow up already. You're not 3."
"At least I know how to have fun! All you ever do is sit at the bar and judge everyone that comes anywhere near you, and strip for no reason! What are you, some kind of exhibitionist?!" Fire started to surface on my skin as my hatred for him kindled even more. No way am I letting the stupid iceberg make a fool out of me.
(Umm... Natsu. You already do that to yourself....)
"Hey! Hush author! That's no the point!"
(Whateva you say buddy....)
Anyways.... I'm not gonna let this stupid iceberg make a fool out of me.
He scoffed. "Fun? I think your definition of fun is way different than ours."
I stared at him for a while then lowered my head, suddenly interested in the floor. I felt a bubbly sensation in my soul that I haven't felt in a while. It's something I've tried to deny numerous of times. "You have no idea...." I mumbled under my breath.
"What was that?"
"NOTHING!" He flinched a bit at my outburst, then everyone turned around towards our direction to see what was going on. Which I think is a bit ironic, considering how they never pay attention to us fighting anyways. "It's nothing...." I repeated, barely over a whisper.
His eyes soften as he stared at me with concern. "Hey... Natsu.... You okay buddy?" The bubbling in my soul grew more after hearing the soft, gently, low tone in his deep raspy voice.
"I—-I... mmm...." I clenched my fist tightly causing the veins in my arms to stick out. "I...." My body shook, my breathing became more shallow, and I shut my eyes tightly, feeling tears trying to escape.
Everyone was staring and talking about me. The voices were too loud for me, I felt ready to burst. Suddenly, I felt cold fingers grasp my wrist and pull my outside to the back of the guild, up the hill, then stopped at the top that overlooked Magnolia.
I felt strong cold arms wrap around me from behind, then gently pulled me down on the ground, urging me to lean back against a cold chiseled chest. I then felt a callused hand on my sweating forehead, brushing back the fringe of hair that was plastered against my head. I eased into the coolness, letting my muscles relax, and my breathing to slow down. I sighed and let the comfort completely take over me. I was still pretty much out of it, but at least I calmed down a bit.
The arm around my waist tightened, causing me to sink more into the coolness, and the bubbling sensation in my soul to return, but in a nice way. That's a first.... I happily sighed then subconsciously grabbed the arm around me and giggled. I observed the pale skin on the muscular forearm in amazement, it was beautiful. I turned around to face the stranger behind me and gasped. Icy blue eyes met mine with utter curiosity and concern. I stared back completely entranced by the color. I hesitantly reached out and touched the dark raven hair and giggled again, loving the way the hair easily weaved through my fingers. So soft, and cool to the touch.
My eyes wandered over the smooth pale skin again, admiring the way it seemed to shine bright, due to the sun's light. Gray closely watched my every movement in silent, trying not to break the delicate moment.
"Pwetty... vewy pwetty." I whispered my voice and octave higher than usual, still staring at the pale skin.
I heard Gray's breath hitch, probably not expecting me to sound they way I did, but I couldn't help it, the bubbly sensation became more intense, starting to take over. I blushed when I saw how intensely he was looking at me, then I hid in crook of his neck, too embarrassed to look him in the eye.
A hand slow, lazy circles on my back, lulling me to sleep. I snuggled even more into the body taking in his scent, it was relaxing, kinda like the smell of a snow covered pine tree forest, with a hint of mint... I like it... wait what?!
"Sleep it off you pyro." His low soothing voice lulled me deeper into my slumber.
My last thoughts as sleep took over, definitely didn't come from my right frame of mind.
He so pwetty. So nice. Pwetty pwetty skin. Pale skin...
