Chapter 2

The bell rung and the class gathered their stuff and headed out. "What was is, ____?" England asked, approaching my desk as he tucked his book under his arm. "Ah, yes. In the basement, there seems to be a... Problem." I say, standing from my seat and walking around the desk. "A problem? What is it that you might mean?" He asked, knitting his eyebrows together. "What I mean is, you're a country with history of Black Magic, correct? Yes. Well, I was hoping you would come with me down to the basement, so you can explain what the problem is." I say, opening my bottom filing drawer. "Of course I'll come with you, but will it take long?" He asks. I shake my head. "No. It won't take to long." I sigh in frustration. "What are you looking for?" He asks. "Er... Something that was in here." I mutter, sighing. "Aha!" I yell, pulling out the object. "My 22 pistol!" I grin and take a cartridge and place it in the slot at the bottom and cock it. "Ready?" I ask the stunned Brit. "Yeah." He nods and follows me down to the basement. I close the elevator door and shake the gun lightly. "This. Don't tell anyone about it." I mutter, so the cameras wouldn't catch what we were saying. I hid the gun in my purse. He puts his hand over his heart, indicating that he wouldn't tell. I smiled and held onto the bar that was placed on the side of the elevator.

It came to a hault, and I opened the doors. "It's dark down here. Take this." I say, handing him a flashlight. He nods and studies it. "What is it?" I ask. "How do you light it?" He asks. "You don't light it! You flip it on!" I roll my eyes and switch the flashlight on. "Oh! I didn't see the button." He laughed lightly. I roll my eyes once more and motion him out of the elevator. He shakes his head. I groan to myself and walk out, taking the gun out of my purse and holding it by my side. "Ready to find the portal?" I ask. "PORTAL?!?"

It was going to take a while to convince him to go into the portal with me.
