AN: This hiatus was unwanted but, needed cause I would write a lil then get stuck. please enjoy and thank you for stay with me for this long.

Obito was bored, but he would never admit it because he was spending his time with Shisui. Only Shisui, no Itachi to have their confusing philosophical talks, no Sasuke to ruin the moment, and recently no Izumi to talk about police stuff. Even it meant spending time at the river fishing outside of Konoha and he thought it be fun because he never left the village or been fishing before.

He didn't expect for it to be so slow because the fish were not going for the bait on his reel at all. Obito tried every to catch these fishes he picked up a sharpening stick to spear them, but always narrowly missing because they swim too fast. He finally got tired of that he took of his sandals and got in the stream and of course that scared the fishes away. So, he decided to waited in the water which took a while for them to come back and when one came close enough Obito strike.

"I got one! I got one! Look!" he shouted happily with his hands around the trout. The fish ended up slapping across his face before flopping back in the water with a splash.

It was hard for Shisui to keep a straight face at Obito at this point.

"Maybe try the fishing pole again?" the older Uchiha encouraged to him not to fish the primitive way.

"Alright..." he said disappointed that he was unable to catch anything yet compared to him because Shisui already gotten three of them in his bucket.

"I apologize that this isn't as fun as it can be. Fishing takes a lot of patience,"

"I'm having fun!" Obito exclaimed not wanting his caretaker think that he didn't enjoy to spend time with him.

"It just seems like a lot of things takes patience especially with me getting injured," Obito ended getting sad again when thinking about school. He hadn't been to school in six weeks since he was released from the hospital. He still got to see Hinata because after school she would still come over to his house to drop his homework, but it wasn't the same also he noticed Hinata was a lot down lately and he hoped she wasn't being bullied again.

He understood that his burns needed to heal and he had to constantly put ointment on them. Some of his burns just ended being permanent scars especially his right palm where even doctor said it would never be fully healed because the tissue was too damaged. Which didn't bother him because he thought it look cool like a perfect ripple on his palm.

"I know you want to go back and soon you will. It is just taking longer than expected," Shisui said feeling frustrated because it had nothing to do with his injures.

"I didn't just bring you out here to go fishing I actually want to train you," Shisui saw Obito lit-up with glee felt instant regret for the alternate motive his clan had.

"But first before we even get to train. I need to know your affinity," he saw instant confusion on his face and explain that every shinobi has one out of the five basic nature transformation fire, wind, lightening, earth and water. Shisui pulled a small box filled with white piece of paper and what he called chakra induction paper.

Obito just didn't want to fail like he has in the past with training and the last thing he wanted to do is disappoint Shisui like he did Fugaku. He grabbed a hold of the special paper and immediately it dampening with water. Obito blinked blankly in disbelieve and asked if he to grab another one. One after another a wet piece of paper dropped to the dirt.

"That's enough Obito," Shisui suddenly grabbed his hand seeing as he was growing upset with touch of the special paper.

"Why water? It is so boring!" He murmured completely defeated by his affinity.

"You know the second Hokage was famous for his water jutsu," Shisui replied knowing if he mentioned anything to do with the Hokages it would instant cheer him up.

"Really? I didn't know that... in school they don't talk about the Second as much as the others or mostly talk about what he founded like the academy and the Uchiha police force," Obito said trying to remember his history lessons.

Shisui frowned seeing as the academy favored must speaking about the Third and Fourth lately since they were the ones who saved the village from the Kyūbi's attack. The elder of their clan despise anything has to do or talks about Tobirama because of police force. He shouldn't be surprised that Obito only know trivial matters when it came to the Second.

"Luckily for you. When was at the academy they told us all sort of tales about the Second Hokage,"

"Really I'm surprise you remember because it has to have been really long time ago since you were at school," Obito said in amazement.

At that moment Shisui could do nothing, but clutch his chest as if he shot an arrow through it. Was he really that old looking? He was merely sixteen, and if he wanted to be technical Obito was supposed to be more of his senior like Kakashi in this timeline.

"N-Not to call you old or anything...I just heard you graduated super young because you're a genius and all!" he nervously corrected himself seeing the depression writing all over his face.

"Don't worry about it," the older Uchiha cracked a smile and deciding to move on and not get distracted. He told the tale of the Gold and Silver brothers while teach him the basic on honing his chakra.

Several hours later they were walking back home on the dirt path way. It was late in the afternoon Obito felt like a sponge soaking up all the information that was giving to him and if he to be honest Shisui is a great teacher. Being out of school for this long made him study more then he usually did and his homework was a lot easier. He no longer had to beg Sasuke to help him and the other plus was that Naruto wasn't able to make a fool out of him with his stupid pranks. But Obito still missed the academy even if he only had one friend while others avoided him like the plague especially his cousin.

Shisui suddenly held out his hand nearly made Obito bump into him. Curious to why they stopped so randomly as he peeked from his caretaker's back. There were several men in masks and hoody cloaks blocking their path way. Only the old man out of the group wasn't wearing a mask with a cane in his hand. He looked familiar to Obito, but he couldn't quite remember from where.

"Danzō..." Shisui said seeing how his foundation had them surrounded. He felted a dread in the pit of his stomach as his main goal suddenly became protect Obito at all cost.
