Haley Rivers

It has been a week since Robin's party and people are still talking about it. I honestly was only thinking about what happened between Tyler and I. It has been pretty awkward between us.

We have been living in the same house alone for a while. However, I have been avoiding him like the plague.  I'm not going to lie and there wasn't any sexual tension between Tyler and me. I just felt that whatever I'm feeling towards Tyler has to be put aside to focus on more important things in life, such as graduating high school. Even if Tyler and I got together, it would be less likely for us to go to the same university. 

At this moment, I was sitting in the cafeteria with the girls. To honest, I wasn't listening to anything they were saying. It's usually about the guys or school rumours that are going around, I usually just zone out. 

As I finally came back to reality, I realized Jake and Ryan were walking to our table. 

"Hey Ladies," Jake said 

"Hi." We all said 

"Heads up, you guys are going to see something that will make your stomach turn," Ryan said 

"What?" I said I was so confused by what he just said.

Right when I was about to ask what's going on, Tyler walks in with a girl that I have known for most of my life. A person who made my life a living hell when I was growing up, she just had to come to this town. 

Maddison. 

My Cousin. 

The devil on earth. 

"What the f*ck," I said 

Out of everyone in this world, Tyler had to get with my cousin. In all honesty, I would rather him be with Robin. At least I wasn't related to her. 

I spoke too soon because before I could say anything Maddison had spotted me. Which made her come my way. 

"Oh my God! Haley!" She yelled getting most people's attention. 

All I did was glare at her. I was praying that the ground would open and swell me up. 

"Oh come on Haley, you still can't hate me for things that happen 3 years ago," Maddison said  

"Maddison, why are you here?" I asked 

"Well, since I started living with my dad and my stepmother. My father decided to move here to be close to family." She said 

"Well, sh*t," I said under my breath 

"We are going to have so much fun with each other." She said 

I knew this year is going to be filled with the most drama I've ever experienced, I know that her father only moved her to ask my father for money since his other wife, Maddison's mother took everything and ran. 

Growing up with Maddison was a pain in my ass. I would be bullied by Tyler when I was at school and bullied by my own cousin at home. When I was younger Maddison's parents would leave her at my house for weeks, just so they could go on vacation or some sh*t like that. 

Maddison when always steal my things or make fun of how I looked. Likewise, she would always get me trouble. She would tell her mother a lie and then her mother would make my parents do something about it. 

And I don't this time it will be any different. 

Maddison is a person to likes to control the people around her and if she couldn't control you she had to destroy you inside and out. I was one of those people she couldn't manipulate into doing her bidding. 

Maddison and Tyler decided to sit with us, which didn't sit well with me. I got up from the table to leave this toxic person, who Tyler happened to bring into my life again. 

I grabbed all my things and left without saying a word. I know my friends are going to ask me questions later about Maddison. But right now, I'm focused on trying to avoid my cousin for the rest of the year. It doesn't help that Tyler and she are a thing. The real question is where is Robin and how can she let this happen. She has an obsession with Tyler, even though she knew Tyler is an f*ck boy and sleeps with anything that has a vagina between their legs. 

I just pray that she doesn't invade my life at home too since she is with Tyler. \

School just ended and I was ready to get the f*ck out of here. But I spoke too soon. Just as I reach my car, a familiar scented person came behind me. And I knew exactly who it was. 

Tyler

"Can I help you?" I asked 

"Yea, you have been avoiding me." He said 

"I don't know what you are talking about, to be honest, we are not even friends. I don't have anything to say to you. So, if you would excuse me, I'm trying to get back to my life." I said 

Tyler looked a bit hurt, I could see it in his eyes. But that isn't my problem if he is a little butt hurt. 

I got into my car and drove to the gym, I had to release some stress and boxing is such a good way to do that. 

I just pray that by the time I get home that Tyler wouldn't be there and I could relax.
