My dad asked me again if i had an amazing birthday(turned 16 on saturday!) To which i told him again yes, that it was amazing and what he said made me want to cry.

He said "i don't want to disappoint you because you're getting older."

I would never be disappointed in my parents(or my family) because i appreciate everything that they do for me and many times i don't even feel like i deserve it.

If anything i don't want to disappoint THEM. I remember when i had first gotten to middle school i did not give a fuck. I barely did any of the homework and didn't turn it in always and I'm not sure about my class work but i believe i had gotten low grades a lot, not paying attention to what the teachers were saying 50% of the time.

I remember how upset and even possibly disappointed in me my parents were when they found out i was gonna be repeating the 6th grade again. Ever since then i was always so afraid of disappointing them.

But hearing my dad say he didn't want to disappoint ME, it just makes me want to cry so much. Words can't describe how much i love my parents and family. Yes, we fight sometimes and make fun of eachother a lot, but what family doesn't do that? To me, it makes my family all more the best.

I love them.
