13 - Demonic Ice

Narrator: Ocean's body is made of water. He tried to boil all the water in Aspen and kill him by dehydrating him but Aspen saves himself and freezes Ocean.

He felt something , more likely realized. His heart had stopped beating.

Aspen let out a maniacal laugh, not expected of his personality but he had defeated the most powerful person he had ever faced in his entire life.

There was a fragment inside Ocean's body. A fragment of even that fragment was the only thing working which was his brain's memory, thinking and reasoning.

"I'm down, and so is Poison. And he might possibly defeat the others too." He thought, "In the only one that can stop him. I need to do this, no matter what is in my way."

Several cracks appeared on the surface of the ice enclosing Poison and it shattered into pieces, heat radiating from his body.

Poison unfroze Ocean too who fell to the ground.

"Don't fight him, he's too powerful." Ocean said, the words barely coming out of his mouth as he painfully managed to stand up.

"How?! How are you alive?! I froze your heart and it is still frozen?! How is this possible?!" Aspen shouted the words.

"The thought that there are still people out there counting on you, waiting for you to come back. That's what true friendship is, true feelings are. That is the true meaning of life." Ocean said his voice strengthening word by word.

"You think this is the end?" Aspen asked. "Well you'd be a fool if you think that."

Aspen pulled off his shirt and there were tattoos, black tattoos forming the japanese letters for 'Ice demon' :  氷悪魔

A small ball of ice formed on his palm which started twirling around his index finger. The ice, was pure black. Looked more like obsidian than ice.

"This is the power of demonic ice. It freezes everything it touches." Aspen threw the ice ball at Ocean who dodged it but the ice brushed against the sleeve of his shirt which made it start to freeze.

Ocean pulled off his shirt. He also had black tattoos over his body reading 'water demon' in japanese :
水悪魔

"So you're a demon too." Aspen threw a larger ice ball towards him but Poison stepped in the way and tried to burn the ice with his flames.

"Dragons are nothing against demons." Aspen said. "So don't even think about stopping my magic with your low-grade flames. And no flame but the demon flame is able to melt this sort of ice."

The ice went straight through the flame and hit Poison freezing him. Ocean stared at Poison in shock. He needed to find that fire demon, it was their only hope to save Poison.

Aspen threw another chunk of black ice at Ocean. Ocean raised his fingers summoning water that swirled the ice around and he managed to throw the ice back at Ocean who raised his index and middle finger which made the ice stop and fall to the ground.

"I see, you're not using your demon magic." Aspen stated. "Well it looks like I've got to make you use it!"

He raised his hand into the air and exclaimed, "Ice demon, absolute zero!"

The atmosphere strated to chill and turned freezing cold. Under freezing cold, the temperature was absolute zero.

"I've got no choice I guess." Ocean said, "Water demon, black steam!" A fog of boiling hot and black particles filled the atmosphere.

Aspen closed his eyes and placed his hand on his chest. He himself froze, the ice grew and froze Ocean too but Ocean had his own hand on his chest and his body started to evaporate. His body made its way through the ice and it condensed back above the ice.

Ocean cut through the ice with his steam and carved out a pair of scythes. The ice above Aspen cracked and he came out of the ice and also created weapons out of his ice magic.

A pair of spears appeared in his hands. Ocean striked but his attack was unsuccessful as Aspen blocked it and managed to break one of the scythes.

He then attacked him with his other spear and the spears went right through his chest. Blood oozed out of his chest and he coughed up blood.

"What I'm surprised it at how you are not freezing by touching my demonic ice?" Aspen asked.

"Demon ice targets a person's heart, freezing it and so on." Ocean coughed up more blood as he fell to the ground. "My heart is already frozen."

He placed his hand on the ice which started to convert into water. The water flooded the place. Aspen attempted to hit him with more icicles but they turned into water before they even touched him.

Ocean smirked. He had set up an ice filter around him that 'filtered' ice into water. Ocean smirked. "You think I'd go down that easily?"

Aspen was shocked. "My attacks are doing nothing against you." 

"Guess I've got to unleash my final trump card." Aspen said.

"What?!" Ocean was shocked. "You've still got tricks up your sleeve?!"

"And this is the most deadly one." Aspen said. "Ice demon, Silver, Takeover!"

His body started to transform.

It started to liquify and mold into completely something else, something not human. The ice had a teal tint to it. It had a slightly humanly body, but with huge wings and horns that curled at the tips. His eyes were pure white and glowing. There were black scales scattered over his chest and his neck. His fingers were also covered in black scales. His lips were completely black and his breath was so cold that it froze the moment it was released. His body was bare and was made out of ice.

His humanity had disappeared. He had turned into a completely demonic creature.

And that's another chapter right there. This is probably the longest fight and it still hasn't been finished. I have a question : What do you guys think of Aspen?

Would Ocean be able to survive this? Will Ocean unleash a secret trump card or would he accept defeat?
