The sizzling summers heat turned his face red. He sat on the porch looking at the garden grow. It was june 28 1914 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Franzy dinners ready," he was snapped back to reality. His wife Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, had called him to a feast with the king and his accomplises. Archduke Franz Ferdinand got up from hs chair and walked inside. He smelt the chicken, the rice and the freshly cooked bread, his stomach growled with hunger.  He sat down at the table. The food arrived and with it the king. "Hallo" (hello) bellowed the king. "Hallo" replied Franz. Franz didnt particularly like th king but he hounored him anyways. He sat listening to the king chit chat about his problems. Half paying attention half falling asleep. He couldnt wait for this day to be over. At least the food was good, actually it was amazing. He consumed the chicken, gobbled down the rice and breathed in the bread. He heard they were having chocolate cake for dessert, oh what joy would that bring. Feeling a need to escape the chatter he got up from his chair, "excuse me I must go to the washroom," he said. He walked towards the bathroom but then took a left turn and found himself in the study. He didnt know why he had chosen to come this way,but he had always liked studys they were a kind of escape.  He looked at the book shelf he skimmed through the titles, seeing Anna Karenina, Northanger Abbey, Pride and Predjiduce and his favourite, Moby-Dick. He removed the book from the shelf and flipped through the pages . He remembered his mother reading it to him over and over as a child, it helped him to relax and fall asleep at night. His copy had been lost in a dreadful fire. Quckly and quietly he tucked the book inside his jacket and turned around. Suddenly there apeared to be a man standing in front of him eyes locked onto his own. The man was dressed nicely in formal attire, a jacket, tie and dress shoes. He looked menacing with his half smile and his evil eyes. He was smoking poison darts out of pleasure. His hand was in his pocket as if he were about to pull out a gun. Franz panicked and pulled the book out of his jacket and hurled it towards the man. He tried to run for it but he heard a bang and the world turned black.
