Hey y'all!
So this book is co-owned by @z_is_awesome and @beana676 (Its Beana who's typing right now!)
We'll try to update as much as possible and I know for a fact we're both REALLY excited for this book! On and by the way we both hate clichés so were going to try and stay away from them! Oh and ALL CREDIT FOR THE COVER GOES TO @cupcakeluver4 !!!! ISN'T IT FANTABULOUS?!?! Anyways she's a really awesome person so fan her and then comment saying you fanned her and you'll get a surprise!!! *evil laugh* (don't be afraid it's a good surprise I pwomise! (; ) Anyways I will now spare you from my weirdness and start the story.
Oh and Shelby's alarm clock song is "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men. It's a really good song! Check it out :)!
Shelby's POV
"DON'T LISTEN TO A WORD I SAY. HEY! THE SCREAMS ALL SOUND THE SAME."
Ugh my alarm. I'm a heavy sleeper so I always keep my alarm clock on full blast. Problem is my mom hates it.
Actually she said and I quote "If you're a heavy sleeper I can pour water on you. There's no need to have your crap play on full blast at 6:30 in the friggin morning. That's too early to wake up the entire damn house."
Pleasant isn't she?
After slapping the off button a little harder then necessary I got out of bed. I walked over to the closet and picked out an outfit. Dark skinny jeans and a grey and white striped shirt. Don't get me wrong, I have a great sense of fashion and love dressing up, but it's not worth it to try to look nice for school when I know people will still make comments.
I grab my clothes and walk over to the bathroom I share with my mom. After getting changed I brush out my long brown hair. I decide to leave it down and it falls in long tendrils down my back to the middle of my waist. I don't bother with makeup because people wouldn't notice so there would be no point.
I walk to my room and grab my black square rimmed glasses. I then pull on my favorite pair of navy blue Toms.
Perfecto.
I walk downstairs to see my mom eating breakfast. She's dressed up in her waitressing uniform. She works at the diner down the street.
She looks up at me grumpily "Shelbs I thought I told you to..."
"Yea, yea Jenny I get it, I'll keep my 'crap' on a more reasonable volume." I interrupted sighing.
My mom sighs. She hates it that I call her by her first name. I can't blame her. But our relationship has just been strained since dad...
I grabbed an apple and my phone stuffing it in my backpack then swinging it over my shoulder.
"Alright I'm going. Bye Jen!" I call over my shoulder.
"Bye Shelbs!" My mom shouts back.
I get in my car and start driving to school. It's only October and I can't wait for summer vacation. After that I'm a senior and then I'll be getting the heck out of here!
I pull my used Toyota into my school parking lot and hop out of my car.
Keeping my head down I start walking into school.
"Hey you! Sign says no dogs allowed in the school!"
"Yea have you gotten tested for diseases yet? Because I don't want to catch whatever you have!"
I roll my eyes and ignore the annoying comments from the boys. They're probably straight C students so I'll be the one having the last laugh when I'm rich and successful and they're unemployed bums who can't land a girlfriend or a job.
