As I ran through the forest as fast i could, my cloak was weighing me down, it was getting caught on the branches and roots on the forest floor, I kept trying to run faster and faster, yet the harder and faster I tried to run the more my cloak was getting caught, I quickly looked back and the creature was still close behind slowly picking up speed as it ran after me. I picked up my cloak and started to run with everything I had in me, all of my energy and power trying to get away from the red eyed gargoyle. As I rounded the corner at the end of the forest I ran into my home land Alfheim, I turned around and threw a fireball at it as quickly as i could the gargoyle puffed into ashes as the bright light reached his dark grey skin.
I slowed my pace and came to a complete stop, I stood there for a moment trying to catch my breath. I stared at the big kingdom in front of me i started to walk towards the castle, my home. As i reached the giant, gorgeous glass castle doors that i have not seen nor touched in years. I slowly and nervously reached for the diamond door handle, and turned it as i pushed the door open the first thing i see is the giant double stairway leading to the second floor. I look over at the thrones right between the massive stairways, there sat my mother Queen Ariana and my father King Noel playing with my little sister Princess Elsie. As the doors closed they all looked up at me, then i pulled off the black hood that hides my identity from the world i when the hood fell the cloaking spell i cast on myself disappeared, I stood there staring at my family they all yelled my name and stood and ran towards me. They embraced me tightly, my mother whispered into my ear ¨My love Selene, oh how we have missed you¨. They all pulled away and my mother grabbed my face and i seen a small tear roll down her cheek and leaned in and kissed my forehead and pulled away. My little sister Elsie came close to me and i bent down and embraced her in a big hug and pulled her closer to my chest as i stood up. She looked me in the face and smiles at me ¨I missed you sel¨,she said. She snuggled her little head into the crook of my neck, and wrapped her little arms around me and held me tight like she never wanted to let go. After a few moments she started to squirm and laugh so i would put her down to go play. I set her down and she turned around and ran to the throne and started playing with her toys.
I walked up the giant staircase to my room that is on the third floor. I walked up to my old solid dark oak door and wondered if my old room still looks the same as how left it. I reached down for the solid gold door handle, as my hand touched the handle my whole body shivered just thinking of all of the memories i have with mother and father and the few me and Elsie shared. I pushed the heavy wood door open and everything looked exactly the same as how i left it. The bed still sat against the wall and the light pink blanket still sat at the end with all of my little stuffed animals. On the walls all of my drawings and pictures still hung in the same places and all of my toys still sat in all of my colorful bins. I walked over to my old dresser and carefully placed my hand against the old chipped wood. I dragged it along the top of the dresser filling all of the small indentations from all the years it has sat in this same spot in the same room for so many years. As i walked to the end of the old dresser i was now standing next to a small old wood box that was covered in dust. I bent down and carefully picked the small box off of the ground holding it firmly in my hands. I placed it gently on the dresser then i wiped the thick blanket of dust off of the top of the box and it read "Selene Limonathiel" In big bold pink letters. I looked down at it for a moment just noticing every detail of the box that i have never seen before. I slightly lifted the front side up so i could get a better look at the small key hole, i looked at it closely and then ran my thumb slowly over it then i quickly placed my hand against the small wooden key covered in small flowers and vines hanging from a small gold chain that has been around my neck since i was a baby. I always thought that the key was just a small trinket that didn't belong to anything special till now. I set the box back down gently against the dresser and took the necklace off of my neck and carefully inserted the small wooden key into the keyhole and twisted it until i heard a click. The top of the box opened a little bit letting me barely see into it. I slowly opened the box till i could see what was inside, a small amulet that is encased in a metal leaf that looks like was once a necklace. I suddenly heard footsteps heading towards the door and closed the box and stuffed it in the nearest chest and put the key in my cape.As the footsteps get closer i hear a loud high pitch scream, "Selena". My door flies open and my best friend Afamrail jumps on me screaming my name in my ear. I hold her small figure close to me as i hugged her tightly. We stood there for a second just missing the company of one another. We pulled away and started to just take in how each of us look after all this time and we both went and sat on my bed. We talked about for hours about my adventures through all of the realms and all the people and magical creatures that i had a chance to encounter on my long journey. After a few hours of catching up on our lives over the past few years we parted ways. I changed out of my cape and grass stained clothes, i put on a long white silk robe and tide my long white hair into a braid. I looked at myself in my large ancient gold mirror. I stared at my pale skin and pink freckles to my violet eyes. I got lost staring at my reflection for so i don't know how long, i was taken out of my thoughts as i heard a small knock on my door "come in!", i yelled. Elsie waddled in smiling at me "daddy said it's time for dinner", i smiled at her and picked her up and walked towards the dinning room.
