This story began after I watched Avengers: End Game for the second time. I loved the open ending of Cap's story, but a part of me wanted more. I've always loved Steve and Peggy's doomed romance, and now I'm thrilled to be able to fill in gaps, so to speak, and give them the reunion they've waited so long for.
I apologize in advance for any continuity errors—the Marvel Cinematic Universe is huge and I can only remember so much. Also for any time travel entanglements. It's a tricky subject to write.
