"Grady! Come on, you're going to be late for the 8AM lecture!" My study partner keeps knocking at my door, he only wants me because I do all the work.
"No, I called the professor yesterday, I don't have to go in." I wish people would just leave me alone, honestly it's tiring. I sigh and roll out of bed, might as well do something useful today. "Hey Siri, play playlist Angsty Teen." I guess I can clean my dorm, it's been a while since my I've been able to see my text books.
I go to take the clothes of my desk, but something feels, off. The room seems to get darker and my breath hitches. "Hey if you're some demon or something, just flicker the lights and be on your way, I'm too tired for this." I listen for something, smirking. 'Wow Grady you're so funny, definitely shouldn't be focused your degree, nope!'
I turn back to my desk, the room sways as I take a step. Immense pressure constricts my lungs, am I going to die to the song 'Monster' by Skillet? My vision is starting to get blotchy, it feels like someone is holding my heart in their hand. My heart is set ablaze, as a soft voice whispers.
"It only hurts for a moment, child."
