1: In the Forest

Abril

Splashes of water is all you can hear from miles, forests can really be too quiet. Even the winds, you can hear them. The trees blown by the wind and the swimming fishes in the pond are too loud if you're alone in a forest. i loved it here, there's no loud anything here.

I stood from the pond where i was sitting at when I saw a reddish leaf fell off from the tree, it was so red you can distinguish it from all the other leaves that are falling.

It is spring time anyway, leaves are turning orange and some are red orange for some reason. when i got where the leaf fell to, i picked it up.

"So pretty," i told the leaf and placed it on my pocket.

"Hey!" I heard someone said.

I know i'm alone here. So I was scared that somebody might be here and try to do something bad.

"You're not supposed to be here." I heard it again, it's a voice of a man. maybe not an old guy, a teen maybe. i know what a teen guy sounds since i have a brother living abroad.

"I-i'm sorry mister!" i shouted, nervously. "i j-just wanna play!" I added.

"Play somewhere else.." He said nicely. i was still searching for his voice, where it's coming from.

"Hey! I'm Abril, so if you don't mind please come out. I'm getting scared."

he doesn't sound scary though even when he told me i'm not supposed to be here. so i calmed down and sounded playfully. I want a friend anyway so maybe i'll try to talk to him.

"Mister! shall we play?" I asked him nicely.

"Play?"

"Yes! Play." I repeated.

"No, i-i need to go home and you should too!" he tried to sound mad but i still think he's nice.

"No!!!" i dramatically said. "I still wanna play!" i started stamping.

"Aish!" i can sense that he was already annoyed but that's okay. If he will play with me afterwards.

"So..." I shyly said, "let's play?"

"Whatever you want." The he went silent for a moment. i was waiting for him to go out and show himself but he didn't.

maybe, he left?

"Mister?" I asked.

"What?" he asked full of annoyance.

"aren't you gonna show yourself?" Even if he was annoyed, i was happy and relieved that he was still there with me. "I'm waiting..." I said, annoying him.

"No." He answered, being stubborn like me.

"Then how can we play if i can't see you?" I asked him. How can I chase him if he's not here, how can we play hide and seek if i don't know what i'm looking for?

"Nope! Just go home." He said again.

"But whyyyy???" I started fake stamping again. He didn't speak even if i was done stamping.

I kicked a pebble, "I guess he left."

I'm on my way to a tree to climb it and see a view from there. I guess I'll be playing alone there. I sighed. I wish I'm not alone, but i am now.  Again. I sighed again. walked, the sighed again.
