The Sunset Cafe (On Hold)

Chapter 6: You were Watching me?

"Missie!" Someone calls my name. I still have my eyes closed so I can't see who it is, But I can make out the voice. "Missie!" Beth calls again. I open my eyes to see a big smile on Beth's face. "Honey! Get up you don't want to be late for your first day of work!" Beth says clapping her hands. I shot straight up. I glance at the clock '8:00 am' . I jump out of bed.

"Thanks for waking me up!" I say rushing my words. After dinner last night I put a few clothes away but never fully unpacked. So my room is a mess right now. Knowing Beth she will yell at me.

"No problem dear.." She pauses. "Clean this room up when you get back..." Beth says with a smile before leaving my room. See I told you. I dig through my suitcase and run to the bathroom for a quick shower. I strip and hop in the shower. I honestly don't care if the water is cold or hot, I can not be late today.

five minutes later I wrap a towel around my body and blow dry my hair. Once down with that I slip some dark blue skinny jeans and a off the shoulder light pink shirt. I put on my black toms and finish it off with a white beanie. I slap very little make up. I hate when girls but so much make up on I swear I think they work at the circus. I take one last look in the mirror before grabbing my phone and running downstairs.

Beth is in the kitchen making toast. "Morning! Here have some toast!" Beth chirps and sets a plate of toasted bread down. I take a seat and start eating the toast and mumble a "Morning".

"You have 10 minutes.. You want to take the car or walk?" Beth asks glancing at the me then going back to making something.

"Umm. Can I take the car? I just don't want to be late.." I ask with a smile. Beth's face lights up.

"Of course! This car is yours!" Beth exclaims. She reaches to a key hanger and pick one of the keys and hands it to me. "Here! " She says with a big smile. "Now.. Go! Have a nice day!" Beth says as I stand up and take the empty plate to the dishwasher.

"Thank you so much Mom!" I give her a quick kiss on the cheek and run to the garage. I didn't realize I said mom. Tears fill my eyes, But I quickly blink them away. Its okay Missie just a oops. No big deal. 'You are gonna do great today!'I say to myself before hopping into the red Jeep. It was adorable. I always names my mom and dad's cars. I think I will name the Jeep Ruby. I start the Jeep and back out of the driveway. Beth programmed the GPS in the Jeep to the Cafe so I know where to go. It only took a couple of minutes to get there but It was five till 8:30. I parked the Jeep and run into the Cafe. I see Nick writing something down on a clip board. I run up to the counter.

"Hi!" I chirp. Nicks head shoots his head straight up and when he sees me he smiles.

"Hello Missie. Ready for your first day?" He ask turning around and giving me a light blue apron.

"I was born ready!" I say taking the apron and pull in over my body and tie the back.

"Good! Oh Alison is sick today.. Weird right? So anyway she told me she taught you everything yesterday right?" He asks.

"Yeah.." I say going behind the counter.

"Okay good. If you need me I will be in my office... Kay? " I nod. "Have fun!" He smirks and walks into the back. I look behind the counter and prepare myself. This is gonna be fun.

"Can I get a Vanilla Mocha please?" A lady comes up and ask. I nod and do my job. I hand it to her.

"3.56 please" I chirp with a smile. The women gives me her credit card. I swipe it and give the card back to her. "Have a wonderful day!" I say.

"Thank you. You too!" She returns the smile and walks out of the cafe. So much fun.
