INSANE

{Chapter 4} Escape x1

Some times in your life you ask yourself what happened to get in this situation? Of course, it's not all the time you find yourself in questionable affairs but it seems I am certainly going to be thinking about this more often, especially right now. 

I turn slowly in circles, my hair hanging down nearly touching the floor. I start to get a head ache from the blood rushing to my head. Yes, I did get tied upside down...why? I have no clue. I mumble curse words under the duck tape that was tightly placed over my mouth. I sigh hoping someone walks into the living room at some point today because I highly doubt the twins will get me out of this when they where the ones that did this to me.

I start to hear footstep walking toward this room. I was currently facing the wall slowly turning around. 

"Oh my god..." I hear a familiar voice say. A hand nudges me a little making me turn around to face the right way. It was Kidd, his face look apologetic as he gently peels off the duct tape from around my mouth. "I'll go and get someone to help." He pats my shoulder and jogs off down the hall way. After a few moments  of spinning around Kidd finally comes back in with Dakota and Aj behind him. 

Dakota sighs and comes over to help me down. Kidd helps untie the rope whilst Dakota holds onto me, my arms still tied together. I drop into Dakota's arms and he places me on a nearby chair carefully. He rips off the tape that was keeping me captive with ease. 

"LUCKY!!" Aj shouts with a stone cold face. To be honest I don't think he has made any other face so far.

"Lucky?" I turn to Dakota with a curious face. He nods "It's the twins, Lu and Ky, the little bastards like to play tricks a lot and since they are computer geeks it makes them smartly cocky and I am not stable enough to lecture them so Aj does it." He shrugs. Kidd stands next to Aj looking like he will step in to do something if he has to.

The twins walk in and act as if they where completely innocent. I sit and watch massaging my now red wrists. Dakota notices and places my hands on his lap as he rubs them softly attempting to get rid of the redness. 

"What do you have to say to Pia? Have some respect for others and try to re-frame your tricks on them or even better stop doing tricks on people all together, now if you will excuse me I have some business to attend to." Aj says and takes a hold of Kidd's hand a walks him out the room. I want to wonder what they are up to but at the same time I kind of don't want to.   

The twins apologise, clearly not sincerely though but that doesn't matter as my attention goes back to Dakota who is staring at my wrists as he traces invisible drawings on my arm. I pull my hands back to myself to get distance between Dakota and I. I didn't like how close we were since he did kidnap me after all.  

His face was full of disapproval from my actions. He stood up and stormed out of the room leaving me to feel a little guilty. I retreated to my bedroom to read a book that I found in a set of draws that sits in the corner of the front room.

I got bored of the book and sat at the window. The street was busy, everyone was having their normal live and I am stuck here still trying to figure out what's going on and how I escape. I look at all the different building. They were all non-identical but they had one similar thing. The fire escapes. 

My eyes widen as I start looking for a fire escape on the building I'm in and see that there is one BUT it's only accessible from Dakota's room. Trying to not make a sound I go through the bathroom and knock on his door. No answer.

I push down the handle and pull on the door slowly. His room was dark but I managed to make out the window from a little gap in between the curtains. His room is so messy I am surprised I didn't break my neck tripping on things but I somehow got to the window safely. Yay #1

The curtains make little sound as I pull them open to reveal the closed window....but it wasn't locked. Yay #2.

I pushed up the window and was about to climb out yet I was stopped by a sharp burning sensation on my scalp making me fall backwards. 

Dakota stood over me holding onto my hair with a steel grip. I knew this wasn't going to end well. His face had no expression and it was scary.

"I was beginning to think we where getting along but you go an do this?! Get out before I seriously hurt you." He throws my to the ground making my fall on my  wrist. Excruciating pain starts in my wrist but I try not to scream so they come out in whimpers.  Tears start to form in the corners of my eyes as I crawl out the room as fast as I could. 

He doesn't even glance at me before he slams the door shut behind me. 

I sit there outside Dakota's room with my head pounding from my headache not really caring that I am sat on the floor and I'm getting cold and tired.

I decided it wasn't going to help me if I just sit here so I went to the kitchen and tried to find some pain killers. I stood to think for a second before I realised I could ask Kidd. I made my way to his room but he wasn't there. I figured he would be in Aj's room and I don't know where that is.

I look at the two different doors at the end of the hallway next to a set of stairs with a door at the bottom. The door was locked, I already tried it so now my chances of getting rid of the pain of my headache is to do a russian roulette with two doors. One could be the twins room and one could Aj's room.

I do not want to step foot near the twins at this moment of time because it seems they are just as unstable as my 4 year old cousin on energy drinks. Unpredictable.

Left or right? Right or left?

Right.

I turn to knock but a voice stops me.

"You don't want to knock on there door." I turn to see Aj stood shirtless in grey sweats. I laugh nervously backing away from Lu and Ky's bedroom. 

"I was trying to find you to ask if you know where Kidd is or where I could get painkillers? I didn't know where your room was so I took a guess..." I stand there awkwardly.

"Hold on a sec." He disappears into his room then comes back out holding a small silver cardboard box. He hands it to me and I thank him before making my way to the kitchen. I open the top cupboard and grab a glass to fill it with water. 

"Hey, have you got any pain killers?" Kidd comes up next to me. I nod and pass him one. I guess he disappeared somewhere if he wasn't with Aj.

"Where did you- Oh my god what happened?" When I turned to look at him I was shocked. His left cheek was bruised, it was all purple and red. 

"I-I fell its no big deal..." He waves me off clearly not wanting me to know the truth. I ignore it for now and grab some ice form the freezer and pass it to him.

"It won't get rid of the bruising but it will help with the swelling... don't put anything else on it after the ice is melted." I told him. He nods appreciating my care before he walks off to most likely his room. 

I do the same. I close the door behind me and jump on top of my bed not caring that I'm going to get cold during the night or I will possibly will fall off the bed. All that was on my mind was sleep...and lots of it.
