In the space between worlds, where one state is neither conscious nor insensible. There was a girl. She sat on top of a fountain, where water drop off her white smooth skin like air, never wetting the dress she had on. The boy stared at her unmoving. This was something that neither makes sense in any world except this. Her silver hair shimmering under the moonlight, her ruby eyes staring into the distance.

The boy drifted closer, like a moth to a flame. He felt a connection between her and himself. Something much deeper than mere love, like a part of him that was tied to her. Like an incomplete soul that needed to be whole once again.

The girl's eyes suddenly snapped to the boy in front of her, like a queen looking down on her subjects. The boy stiffened, afraid. The girl looked at the boy and smile, a smile that seem to be all knowing and childish at the same time. The boy relaxed.

"Who... What are you?" He asked cautiously, edging closer towards her.

The girl continued to smile, considering how to explain to the boy such that he may understand.

"I am you." She said. "A fragment that once was and will be, I am also your guide."

"A guide? To where?" He asked.

"Where you decide to go will be up to you. I can only show you the path. Once you reach the end will I meet you once more."

The moon behind the girl became larger. At the same time, the boy started to heard a dull sound pounding in his ears. He felt the place blurring away. The moon became brighter and bigger.

Like a snap, he felt his body pulled from behind him. He was pulled so fast that the surrounding bled white and he slammed into a wall.

I woke up, wondering why there are tears streaming down my face.
