A Not So Simply Love Story.

"Lacey, Lacey, Lacey get up! Wake up!" God my mum must have let Lex in once again. "Shut up Lex." I mumbled. "Oh my god. Oh my god Lacey I cannot believe this I really happening to me! To me Lace!" she exclaimed as she pressed her hand to her forehead and fell onto my bed like a love struck princess. In a sorry attempt to get her to leave I got up and went to go pee. Thinking that she leave because i wasn't acknowledging her. Mean i know, but in my defense i was tired! After i finished using the toilet I washed my hands, all the while dogging my reflection in the mirror. As I walked out she looked at me, "I sorry I'm acting like such a girl, but Lace I have much to tell." She then crawled towards my side of the bed so I couldn't lie back down. I sat next to her and sighed. "All right spill."

Why Lex and I were best friends I'll never be able to understand. She was such a girly girl she loved, well was more like was obsessed with gossip. Hated sports -like me, I guess we have some things in common. Despised video games, was obsessed with boys, had mostly girl friends. We didn't share many of the same friends. I was her polar opposite. I hated high school drama, loved video games, and she was my only girl friend. However we did share the same passion for music, and girly fashion- I am a tomboy who dresses like a girly hipster, meets scene, bohemian. Music is actually how we met. But thats a whole other story.

"I was walking to swirls this morning. Because Dalton works there, not because I wanted frozen yogurt and nine in the morning." This boy Dalton is the boy she has crushed on ever since he moved here sophomore year. And still, summer before senior year she is still crushing on. She's had boyfriends all throughout high school. Well kind of they only last a month at most before they realize the guy she's in love with is not them. "As I was checking my outfit in the shop window next to swirls he came up. He checked me out then gave his approval. he said I looked fine, that I didn't need to make sure. Oh god Lace that's when I lost it! He gave his sexy smirk and said, 'You're Lex Preston, right?' I choked on my spit. God I cannot believe i did that." she looked at me and blushed, damn she really was embarrassed. "Then I replied, I said yeah, yeah that's me. 'Well it's nice to finally officially meet you.' thats what he said. I swear to god. Then your evil friend, Chad had to call him away from me." I laughed, "Chad is not stupid, but I guess he has impeccable timing." Lex punched me in the arm and signed. "He talked to me Lace he actually talked to me!" She was so excited. I can't blame her he was her crush. I've felt that way before, but I wouldn't be caught dead gushing like her.

After Lex told me all the things she liked about Dalton she finally left to go shopping with "her other girls" as she called them, and let me shower.

It was nearing the end of July and the school year was slowly approaching. We will both be seniors and we both didn't have boyfriends. Summers almost over, I've never had a boyfriend. I mean I've kissed a guy but the only thing that has gone "down there" has been my own fucking hand. I am pathetic. As I jumped in the shower I blazed my music and pondered my own sad life.

Once I finished getting ready I grabbed my keys and headed to "stupid Chad's" house. He was a good friend of mine not my best friend but we were pretty tight. The guys and I were having a gaming day. It was Chad, Xavier, Toby, Dalton and I. Yes Dalton, Dalton. He didn't have to work this afternoon he just had to open. Dalton didn't normally hang with us but more and more the past few days he's been chilling with us. Something I have not told Lex. Only because I didn't want her to think I could "set them up." Because shed go the that right away.

Out of all the boys I am closest to Xavier, I am also madly in love with him -something no one knows. He also has a girlfriend, named Sarah. She is nice don't get me wrong, but she has Xavier and I don't, so deep down I'm jealous and hate her. Enough boy talk. Gaming time!

I reached chads and immediately he came out yelled, "Miss Lacey we've been waiting for you!" I walked up hugged him then said, "And I've been waiting for this. I am so ready to escape reality and immerse my sale in a false reality." "That's the spirit!"he said and led me to the basement where all the others guys already were. "Sup, Lace" Toby said then have me a head bob. Xavier jumped up ran to me, picked me up and whispered, "It was getting clammy in here with all the terosterone, we need you here!" he kisses my cheek put me down. "Glad to see you!" he said then plopped back down in the couch. "Hey Lacey, good to see you again."

"yeah you too dalton"

"Alright ladies or lady and gents are you ready for the Chad Vader gaming event of the summer?!"

We all smiled and cheered and Chad gave a bow.

"Alright which one first?" he asked.

As so we spent the entire day gaming.
