"And with the death of this burning dragon, may peace come to you in Sharkam and may you find everlasting friendship. Your family mourns you. May the Mother Dragon welcome you with open arms and give you shelter, provisions, and love. Akan Teh Jouseh."
With the final words of the ritual being said, Rhia poured the gasoline on her dead brothers body. She put down the gallon of gasoline, then cuffed her claws around her mouth and breathed out a mighty amount of golden fire. She closed her mouth, then hovered her claw over her forehead, moved it to her stomach, then raised her claw to the sky in a respectful salute. Her back was straight, her tail still. Tears streamed down her cheeks from the burning of the ashes. Her wings were completely still and her scales were the brightest red and gold one could imagine.
Only once Makai's entire body was turned to ash did Rhia regain a normal posture. She flapped her wings once and Makai's ashes were scattered in the air, then picked up by the wind.
Rhia turned around and wiped away her tears. She started gathering wood. She then dragged it all the way back to her campsite in a gorgeous cave. She had found the cave while looking for a safe place to set up camp underground and the cave was perfect. It had a water source, and there was a large lake like area where many different fish swam.
Rhia got to work on building a home. First, she burned away the flesh of the wood. She then scraped off the now charred bark and started cutting different logs into structural pillars. She then set them up. This made up the main room and it was large.
She made twelve more pillars and set those up. They would serve as the master bedroom and two other rooms.
She made eight more pillars and set those up. They would be the bathrooms. She made four more pillars and set those up as well. That area would serve as a large study room.
She went back to the surface. She grabbed an ax and started cutting down more trees. The then cut the logs into separate large pieces, then wrapped ropes tightly around two of them. She grabbed the ends of the ropes and started dragging them back to her campsite.
It had been a long hour and she wasn't even halfway to her campsite. She cursed under her breath as she realized she needed some help. She put down the ropes and the logs rolled to a stop.
She went back to the surface again, and, for the first time in a long time, she walked back to town. She found a piece of paper. She got out her pen and wrote down on a piece of paper:
If you are looking for work, I am Rhia Sheshka. I would like a partner to help me with building a shelter and avenge my brother. For more information, go to the forest and stand by a blossoming cherry tree.
Rhia put the makeshift flyer on the event board in the middle of town, then went back to her cave. She went back down to the logs and started pulling them. She was wondering if anyone would really help her. She was known for suddenly disappearing now. She never had many friends either, so that didn't help her situation.
Just as she got the logs to her campsite, some dirt fell down from where she had instructed someone to be if they wanted to help her. She was shocked that someone so willingly want to help her.
She went up through a tunnel and stayed in the shadows, only her glowing eyes being visible. As she got to her spot, she could see a boy about her age.
The boy had chocolate brown skin, jet black hair with a number of beautiful bird feathers, piercingly blue eyes, and he seemed to be some sort of ancient dragonoid descendant. He had antler like horns protruding from his head, a long, sleek dragon tail with fur and feathers on it, and his legs were just like a dragon's, bent backwards at the legs. On his cheek was a tattoo. It looked like two red antlers with a fiery blue background. He had this smirk on his face that made him look like someone who could steal someone else's girlfriend.
Rhia decided to play it cautious. "Who are you and what is your business here?"
"I saw your flyer on the event board. My name is Ajax Bhuva. I've come to help you."
