Chapter 15

Amy's POV:

The bomb exploded, causing the front of the house to erupt in flames. I looked on as pieces of walls tumbled down, and the panicked voices of those inside. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the fact that Lilac wasn't joining us, I know how badly she wanted this, whatever she said.

2 hours earlier...

"Must we really go over the plan again?" Dagger asked the other people in the room. We were holding a meeting for how we will escape the gang and kill Kyle. A few people nodded, and Dagger sighed.

"Fine. Me and Fire will break into the weapons room and steal guns and bombs. Kyle will soon realise what we've done, so we don't have long. Everybody will be waiting in this room, and me, Lilac and Amy will hand out guns. After that, I will bomb the front of the house, which will cause everybody to evacuate through the underground tunnels that lead to the back garden. Kyle will be at the back of the group, so when he sees the man at the front being killed, he will run back inside and call for backup being the pussy he is, however, we would've cut down the power lines. After he realises that the power lines are down, Lilac and Amy will kill Kyle since they will be inside, waiting for him. Everybody understand?" Everybody in the room nodded, which caused Dagger to smile in approval. "Good. We will meet back here in two hours. And please, for the love of God, don't be late or you'll end up being killed. Your all dismissed." She said, and everybody started walking out.

"Do you really think that this will work?" Lilac asked after everyone had left.

"Of course it will." I said, grinning.

"That's what I'm afraid of." She muttered.

"What's that supposed to mean? We want to get out of here, right?" I said, a bit too loudly. I looked at Dagger, and she leaves the room to give us privacy.

"It's just, what if we do everything correctly, but we can't kill him? Or there is another tunnel we don't know about, which only he uses? What happens then? We risk our family and friends for nothing?" Lilac's voice was getting more hysterical by the moment, and it cracked a bit at the end.

"If we stay here, we're dead anyways. Can't you understand that?!" I yelled at her.

"I want too, but I don't want anything to go wrong!" She shouted back.

"You know what, fine. Stay here. See if I care!" I hissed, and stormed out of the room.

"Do you have them?" I asked Dagger and Fire as they came back into the room.

"Yes, right here!" Fire grinned, holding lots of guns.

"Great. Oh also, Lilac bailed on us so Kate is helping hand out the weapons." I informed them, taking a few guns.

"Alright everybody! Come line up for your weapons!" Kate shouted to the room.

"Is Kyle in the house?" Fire asked Dagger.

"Yes. He's eating lunch in the back of the house." Dagger informed him.

"Wonderful. I'll go take my position." And with that, he left.

"Alright everybody! Get to the back of the house!" I yelled, marching with the others. As we approached, I noticed that people were already shooting down the unequipped men.

"That's your cue. Go kill him," Dagger whispers to me. I nod and turn to go, but someone throws a knife at me. I'm frozen, and time seems to go in slow motion. I watch as the knife flies through the air, aiming for my chest. But Dagger jumps in front of me, and time starts again.

"NO!" I scream, looking down at Dagger's limp body.
