Liam sat with his legs crossed on the leather sofa, reading, while Louis lay on the ground with his bottom against the edge of the sofa with his legs sticking up in the air. Harry was sitting at the small table at the edge of the room, reading a magazine and tapping his pen. Zayn has his phone in his hand and was texting with a girl he’d met the other night at a party. They all awaited the arrival of their fifth member, Niall. He was fifteen minutes late for their recording session.

The door handle jingled and Niall held the door open while a short, blonde girl scampered by him. Her neck, wrists and ears were decorated by glittering jewelry and her hot pink stilettos, that matched the bow in her platinum hair, boosted her petite structure. As she walked through the door, each boy turned his head and stared. Zayn’s jaw dropped. Niall followed her into the room and pulled his sunglasses off his head and set them down on the table where Harry was sitting and returned to the girl’s side; he was at least a head taller than her. Her small body gently curved beneath her hot pink blouse and teeny white shorts. Her hair curled and bounced over her shoulders and upper back. Niall placed a hand on her lower back and kissed her cheek.

"Boys," he gestured to the girl, "Landri; Landri," he gestured to each of the boys, in turn, "Liam. Louis. Harry. And thats Zayn," she giggled and waved to the boys. Louis sat up straight and got up from the floor, a dazzling, polite smile stretching across his perfect face.

"Landri, darling," Louis said. Landri giggled when he said her name. "Would you mind stepping out for a moment?" He opened the door, led her through it and shut it behind her. Liam looked up from his book with an expression somewhere between annoyance and disgust.

"I dont like her," he stated flatly.

Mumbles of “Me neither” came from the other boys. Niall threw up his arms.

"Why not? Come on, boys. Give her a chance! Why is it always MY girlfriend that nobody likes?" the blonde boy pleaded.

"I just have a bad feeling about her…" Liam mumbled, looking back down at his book.

"Boys!" the recording manager grunted from his seat, placed in front  of the sound board about twenty feet away, "Are you gonna do this or not?"

Louis picked up his glasses and stepped into the booth first, taking the mic closest to the door. The other boys filed in and took their places and got ready to record. Niall gasped.

"Guys we left Landri-" Niall began. Liam waved him off and the recording manager started the music.

Landri stood outside the door for a few moments, tapping her foot. When nobody came to get her, she pulled out her phone, from her purse, and sat on the ground, leaning against the wall on the other side of the hallway. She began rummaging through her purse and found a half empy bag of doritos that was clipped shut and threw it away in a nearby trash can and sat down, playing games on her phone and humming Glad You Came.

Days later, Niall went to the boys’ tour rehearsal, but he was careful not to bring Landri this time. He showed up early and sat around, waiting. Soon, Liam and Harry sauntered in the room. When they spotted Niall, Liam scoffed.

"Where’s your precious little princess?" he mocked.

"Whats it to you?" Niall snapped.

"I just don’t like her, is all!” Liam said, frustratedly. "She’s not good for you!"

"Who are you to have a say in who I date? What, are you jealous? Why do you care anyway? I mean its not like you’re in love with me or anything, " He snickered, jokingly.
