Once Upon A Love Story

If ever I woke up in somewhere else first thing in the morning.. life for me must be different.

Haru's POV

I opened my eyes and saw my light in the dark starts and galaxy at the ceiling. Noong bata pa ako nito pinabili kay Dad, and hanggang ngayon napangalagaan ko pa din.

Umupo ako at tiningnan ang kwarto kong puno ng color blue. Sometimes I wonder why could I not like pink. Hindi ako girly pero hindi din tomboy. Well, its not a big deal.

However..

"Haru? Why are you still in the bed?! Wake up and help me here!" sabi ni Mama. Ayan na nga ba sinasabi ko, nag-alarm na ang human clock ko.

"Just a minute!" sigaw ko pabalik.

Tumayo na ako sa kama at inayos ang mga punda at kobre nito. I checked the time in my alarm- it says 5 AM.

Ugh, this is why I hate Mondays. Napaaga na naman ang gising ko dahil sa pagkahyper at the same time strict ni Mama.

Dumiretso na ako sa banyo at baka magwala pa si Mom. While I'm washing my face, I have noticed my brown hair been messed up. Also my brown eyes are freakin' dull!  Ano bang nangyayari sa akin, I thought reaching puberty and hitting the age of 20 would make you a beauty?

Imbes na madepress ako sa mukha ko, I just comb and tie my hair into a ponytail and change myself to my usual jeans and white shirt.

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto ng makasalubong ko si Dad. "Morning.." bati niya sakin. I kiss his cheek and went to the dining.

"Akin 'yan, e!"

"No, the ham is mine!!"

"Its mine you just took it!!"

Umupo na ako at nagsimulang kumain kahit na maingay. Nagsisigawan na naman ang dalawa kong nakababatang kapatid. "Stop Cose and Von! Nasa harapan kayo ng hapagkainan. Show respect ok?" suway ni Papa sa dalawang makulit.

"Okay dad." sabay nilang sabi kahit na masama ang titigan sa isa't isa. 'Pag talaga si Dad na ang nagsabi wala nang kontra ang dalawang bubwit na to.

Cose and Von are both 14 years old and twins. There personality are like poles; Cose is a bratinella while si Von ay masungit na lalaki. They also fought but in the end nagsusuyuan din. They are sweet but fragile that's why I always protect them as their sis.

"Around five o'clock tommorow morning, an asteroid with a diameter of 1000 meters will pass by Earth. Due to gravitational pull, there might be one in a million chance that the asteriod would hit the Earth's surface.." I look at the television at nakita ko 'yung picture ng asteroid. Hay, sa tagal na nagsasabi na magugunaw na ang mundo, this is pointless now to suggest.

Nawala ako sa pagmumuni-muni ng bigla akong nilingon ni Papa. "How's your internship?"

Umayos ako ng upo, "It's fine. There's too many patients but I can handle it."

"Good. Dyan ka na din magtrabaho officially kapag nakagraduate ka na, darling."

Hindi na lang ako kumibo pagkatapos ng sinabi ni Papa. Mabilis kong tinapos ang pagkain ko at tumayo na.

"Ma, Pa. Cose, Von. Alis na ako." I kissed Cose and Von in their cheeks, and nagmano kila Mama at Papa.

"Ate, we want pasalubong!" sabay na sigaw ng magkakambal.

"Yeah, yeah." Nagmadali na akong lumabas ng bahay.

Hindi ko talaga alam ang sasabihin kila Mama at Papa kanina pagkatanong nila tungkol sa internship ko.

The truth is, sa isang bookstore ako nagtratrabaho ngayon at hindi sa isang hospital nor clinic.

I always wanted to work in a book shop, that's why even if my parent's don't really want me to, I still pursue it.

The bookstore is far from our home. I went to the waiting shed and wait for a bus to stop.

While waiting, I noticed a man beside me, reading a book entitled "Once upon a Lovestory".

Ang corny ng title, and mind you it is color pink! This is my first time seeing a man reading a romantic book at a bus stop.

He is wearing a brown shirt, and my height is just up to his shoulder. He have a large backpack and I think his a foreigner, for his eyes are green.

Napatingin agad ako sa poste sa bandang gilid ko ng bigla siyang tumingin sa akin, siguro napansin na kanina ko pa siya tinitignan.

Hindi na sana ako titingin pa ng bigla na lang siyang magsalita.

"It is my fifth time reading this book."

Lumingon ako sa kaniya, "Ha?"

Ngumiti siya, and God knows his cute.

"Sabi ko panglimang beses ko nang basahin 'to."

"Tungkol saan 'yan?"

"Do you want to borrow it? I could lend it to you."

"No, you--" Saktong may dumating na bus at hindi ko na natuloy ang sasabihin ko.

I don't know what did just happened but he reached out for my right hand, place the book at my hand and that's when he ride the bus, leaving me hanging at the waiting shed and wondering who is he.

AT WAIT-! NAIWANAN NA AKO NG BUS!!
