[outgoing call...]
0:00"Jisung?"
Minho picked up straight away, and the softness in his voice made Jisung break down. Instead of answering properly, he just cried into the mic.
"Hey, hey, Jisung, what happened?" Minho asked, his voice softer than it was before it that was even possible.
"T-They kicked me out," Jisung sobbed, bringing his arm up to rub at his eyes with the sleeve of his grey hoodie. He was currently walking down the street, nowhere to really go, but he had to stop somewhere and tell Felix where he was so he could direct Changbin.
"Hey, calm down, Ji. It's ok, I'm here," Minho shushed gently, and even though his voice was muffled slightly and there was stuff happening in the background, Jisung could still imagine that Minho was next to him. "I'm glad you called me instead of brooding alone. I'll help you, ok?"
Jisung sniffled and nodded, even though Minho couldn't see him.
"I'm so proud of you, Ji," Minho praised softly. "You faced your fear and you weren't afraid to be who you are. From now on, you won't need to pretend anymore, and you won't need to live up to your parents expectations anymore. You're free, baby."
The nickname made Jisung's heart jump, and he wished Minho was actually there with him. He wanted to see him so badly.
"Do you want me to come to meet you?" He asked. "If you give me directions, I can get my friend Chan to drive me there."
"Don't do that, Minho," Jisung begged. "My friends are coming to get me anyway. But I couldn't make you do that."
"If you say so," Minho replied. "But you wouldn't be making me do anything. I just want to make sure you're ok."
"I'm ok," Jisung sniffled. "Are you tired? I'm sorry if I woke you up."
"Not at all," Minho responded. "I'll stay up for as long as you need me to. It's the weekend anyway."
"Thank you," the brunette replied quietly. "How did your audition go?"
"Oh, it was pretty good. I met your friends," Minho answered, and Jisung felt that smile in the older's voice. "They're really funny."
"I'm jealous that they got to meet you before I did," Jisung admitted, blushing under the yellow of the streetlights. "They got to see how good looking you are in person."
"Are you calling me good looking?" Minho asked with a hint of laughter in his voice.
"Shut up, you know you're hot," Jisung mumbled, blushing even harder than before.
"Oh, so I'm hot now?" Minho teased, and Jisung groaned. "I'm just kidding, Ji - thank you. Where are you now?"
Jisung looked up, not really recognising his surroundings very well. He noticed a burger joint a few minutes down the street and decided that would be the ideal place to go.
"I'm just going to this burger place down the street," he answered. "I hope they're open because I have nowhere to be for the next two hours."
"I'll stay with you while you wait for your friends," Minho stated firmly, leaving no room for discussion. "Unless my phone dies."
"Minho, you don't need to stay," Jisung reassured, pushing open the glass door to the diner. "Really. I feel a lot better after talking to you."
"If that's the case then why not let me make you feel even better?" Minho replied, and Jisung knew there was no winning with him this time. "You know you want to talk to me."
"Of course I know that, but it's selfish," Jisung replied before quickly ordering a Strawberry milkshake and waiting to pick it up.
"It's not selfish because I want to talk to you too," Minho reassured as Jisung stepped forward to collect his drink. "Jisung?"
"Yeah?"
"It's not selfish," Minho repeated, and Jisung smiled to himself as he sat down. "What did you get?"
"Just a milkshake," Jisung answered, pulling his earphones out of his rucksack so he could plug them into his phone.
"You should eat something aswell," he faintly heard Minho say as he set his phone down on the table in front of him, holding his cup with two hands. "Did you eat anything at your parents house?"
"Not really," Jisung replied quietly, his heart sinking at the mention of his parents. For a moment, he'd forgotten that he was here because of his parents; talking to Minho was just so ethereal.
"Will you tell me what happened?" Minho asked softly and Jisung could hear the hesitation in his voice. "You don't have to, of course - I just want to know if there's a way that I can help you more."
"No, it's ok," Jisung said quietly. "My mum called me a 'degenerate' and told me I'm not welcome at their house anymore."
"Jesus, that's horrible..." Minho whispered - more to himself than to Jisung. "If I were there, you would have to restrain me."
"I don't like imagining you angry," Jisung chuckled sadly. "You have such a naturally cute face."
"Your face is definitely much cuter," Minho responded almost immediately. "I don't like to hear you crying, let alone see it."
"I'm ugly anyway," Jisung mumbled to himself.
"No, you most definitely aren't," Minho argued sternly. "You're gorgeous, sweetie. I mean it. And who gives a fuck about your sexuality? You're a beautiful, kind and caring person and you're funny and sweet and you're so brave. I don't have the best relationship with my parents either but I got through things with my friends by my side, and I'll be there for you - I promise."
Jisung hummed in response, a dumb smile covering his face. "You're really nice."
"Only to you~" Minho drawled, making kissy noises over the phone and causing Jisung to giggle.
"Are you trying to kiss me?" The brunette asked, still smiling.
"Maybe," Minho admitted. "Would you let me?"
Jisung really didn't need to think about his answer, but he let himself pause just so he wouldn't seem too desperate.
"Yes," he whispered, and Minho was silent on the other end. "My mum asked me if I'd met someone yet and I said yes - then I showed her a picture of you."
"Wow," Minho whispered in shock, and Jisung blushed.
"Too much?" He asked.
"No, no. I'm just shocked that you said you would let me kiss you," Minho explained.
"Your lips look really soft," Jisung replied, hearing his phone ding with a text from Felix. "Minho, I have to go now. My friends are here."
"Ok, sweetie," Minho said. "Text me when you get back, ok?"
"I will," Jisung smiled as he got up from his table and disposing of the cup in the bin. "Bye, Minho."
"Bye, sweetie."
