chapter 16

Brooklyn's POV

I was extremely nervous to meet my mothers new boyfriend but yet super excited because I see he makes her happy and that makes me happy. They seem serious but I'm not sure if any of us are ready to have another man in our lives to fill in for my dad, Cristian is not a replacement he's just simply filling in his shoes some how.

Ethan and I stood by our cars which were Parked right next to each other in our driveway. "He better be worth my time because I am missing football practice with my boys to meet this man." Ethan made an annoyed face which made me chuckle. Deep down he's just really nervous to meet him.

Ethan plays college football and Baseball but even though it's not football season yet he still has to practice, his coaches say "practice makes perfect "

He's clearly the athletic one from us both and I'm sure he'll make it really far and to the leagues, he's amazing!

"Ethan, I bet he is going to be worth your time." I said chuckling rolling my eyes.

When we arrived to the house and there was a beautiful shiny grey 2017 station wagon Porsche parked in front of the house. "Mom said he was rich but gosh" I was shocked.

Ethan and I walked to the front door of our house, Ethan stopped my hand as I was about to turn the knob of our grand door to get inside. He stared at me and spoke "Are you ready to meet the man that can possibly change moms and our lives?" He smiled at me as I nodded. We went inside and all we heard was mom laughing, like genuinely laughing. We followed the beautiful noise past the corridor towards the living room.

Mom and Cristian were sitting on the couch her hand on his thigh with his over hers, with their free hands they had a glass of red wine. I smiled at the site of my happy mother.

She finally noticed we were by the massive door way. "hey babies!" they both stood up and mom hugged us. But was kinda hard to hug me cause my stomach is pretty big now. "Cristian, this is my son Ethan-" he shook his hand. "and this is my daughter Brooklyn." he went to shake my hand but I just couldn't. I was happy for them so I gave him a hug.

He smiled so sweetly "it's a pleasure to meet you both and congratulations Brooklyn, your mother has told me so much about you both. She is especially so happy to be a grandmother." his beautifully perfect dimpled smile was breathtaking.

"where's your son? I thought he was coming over too?"i asked. Ethan was very quiet. Just standing there smiling and nodding most of the time.

"He is upstairs in your room Ethan. I hope that's okay your mother said he could go up and play with your xbox since you had a specific game he wanted to play but if it bothers you-" Ethan cut him off

"no that's totally fine man." he smiled his charming smile. Mom looked at him and mouthed 'thank you'. she can not stop smiling and it warms my heart.

"well we are gonna go meet your son so please excuse us." I smiled and yanked on my brothers side arm up the stairs to our rooms. "Imma go to my room real quick I'll meet you at your room." he nodded and went to his room. I dropped my school bag on my bed and headed towards my brothers room.

As I walked through the door I saw Ethan laughing and scuffing up the little boys hair. They noticed me an the little boy waved at me and showed us his adorable dimpled smile. I giggled at the fact that he was missing his front tooth. I'm guessing he looks like his mother because he only had his fathers dimples and green eyes as far as I noticed. "hey, what's your name?"

"My name is Tyler but some people call me Ty. What about you?"

"I'm Brooklyn." he smiled again and passed Ethan the controller, who was sitting by his desk. He un-paused the game Tyler was playing, something about warriors I guess. Tyler sat on the edge of Ethan's bed staring at me and possibly my belly.

I sat next to him and he broke the awkward silence after a while.

"I don't want to be a meanie but is there a baby in there?" he pointed to my huge somach.

"Ha- um yes there is actually two babies in here-- look give me your hand." The babies always seem to kick when people put their hands on my stomach, I can already tell they are going to be crazy little girls just like I was. I giggled at my thought. I placed his tiny hand on my already big belly. Only one baby kicked which I was sort of happy about because to be quite honest, when they kick together it's painful!

"ooh that feels weird. Does that tickle or hurt?" he seemed so amazed.

"It hurts sometimes but only when they both kick at the same time." I explained ruffling his hair. I guess he didn't like that since he fixed it right away, he seemed so proper for a Seven year old boy.

After sometime he stared at me and asked "Are you guys going to be my siblings?" Ethan and I exchanged looks. I was at lost for words.

"um..I don't know what or how to answer that, sorry kid." Ethan rolled his chair over to us as he spoke. "you don't have sibilings?"

"Nope, my mommy died when I was this small-- a little baby" he gestured us an almost accurate size of a baby with his tiny hands. "so I don't have any brothers or sisters, I'm an only child."

When he finished his eyes seemed to glisten but he kept going as if nothing. He really touched my heart, like how can you be so young and not have a mom to guide you or care for you. It just breaks my heart. I couldn't hold it and I just gave him a tight hug, as tight as I possibly could considering I have this basketball blocking me.

Have you guys seen Descendants and Descendants 2? It's such a good new Disney movie!! At first I was a bit iffy because Disney is DEFINITELY NOT what it used to be but I loved it, i totally recommend it guys !

Also I don't know if you guys have realized but when I have been updating I update past midnight, It's summer so my sleeping schedule is way off omg it's terrible! It's now 4:45 as I am writing and updating this. Please pray for me !!
