Chapter 7

SONNY POV

I didn't know what to expect when I saw him. All that was going through my mind was that I had to check up on Killian and see how he was doing...

When I woke up I felt a pinch, a needle. The nurse was putting in an IV. I felt the drips of morphine going through my arm, making the pain go away. When I was finally able to speak I asked her, "How did I get here?"

She slowly nodded as she looked at me, a sadness in her eyes... Then she told me, "That boy you were with, Ben? I think. He took one look at you and slapped you in the face for no reason, you guys didn't even speak to each other from what I could tell..."

As I slowly took this in, the kind nurse poured some juice into my cup and held it for me as I drank.

KILLIAN POV

The strangest thing happened this morning. My brother. Ben actually came to see me for once. Out of all the people I know in this world, he's the last I would've expected to check up on me. We've never gotten along, and when I didn't take his side when his ex... What was her name? Mandy? No. Vicky? No. Suzie? No. I think it started with an S... Maybe Sally? There's no way Ben would've dated a girl named Sally! Sonny! That was her name! I knew it was really weird or something, I just couldn't put my finger on it. Man, that girl was funny! Talk about a catch! I can't believe Ben let her go like that... Why would someone make a girl so kind and innocent like her go through that? He totally didn't even deserve her in the first place! And for what he did! I can't believe he's not in jail! She's definitely the one that got away...

AVA POV

That son of a gun! I can't BELIEVE he would do something like that! Way to be BOLD! If I see him, I'm GOING to KILL HIM!!

SONNY POV

As I was coming back from the bathroom I thought I saw Killian wondering the halls, so I waved.

"What happened to YOU?!", he exclaimed as he ran up to meet me.

"Oh, don't worry about me... How are you feeling?", I responded quietly.

"What do you mean don't worry about you?! You look like hell!", he shouted.

"Shhhh! I'm fine! Stop! It's nothing,,, I just ran into someone that I definitely didn't want to run into today... Or ever, for that matter", I said.

"Hey", he said as he rubbed my arm, "It's okay, everything's alright... You really don't look like hell, it's just an expression", he said trying to cheer me up.

"Ha-ha", I fake laughed.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH HER??! GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OF HER!!!", screamed Ben.

Next thing I knew, Killian was no longer standing next to me...
