Chapter 5

Ashton POV-

" Now I think he is still resting in the pack's clinic..." I said whipping my tears. I'm done telling them what happened with my mate, well I guess I should be calling him, my soon ex-mate.

"Man that boy is an idiot-" my wolf growled at the insult that Shelley said at my soon-to-be-ex-mate. She rolled her eyes and looked at me angrily " don't you dare to defend him, he is being an asshole to you! He didn't even wanted to get to know you. He said that he wanted to choose his own fate but how can he be so sure that he doesn't want you when he doesn't  even let you get close to him!! " she yelled at me, and it only made me feel like shit. I heard my heart break once more... if that is even possible.

"Okay... I'm sorry I'm just mad you know? You are such a great man, a great alpha and surely a great friend. How can't he not give you a chance? .... " she sigh and some tears stared to accumulate in her eyes.

"Alpha... you shouldn't be crying over him. He is the one who is losing a great lover. Now you have better things to do, one of them is being the alpha and taking care of our pack and the other one is taking us out to eat man we have being waiting for you ass!! I'm starving " Alex said making me chuckle. This man always knows how to make me forget my pain. He is correct, I have no time to cry like a baby in here, now I have a responsibility and that is my pack.

"Yeah yeah I know. Let's go then ! I'm starving too!" I said making our way to the kitchen. Luna Jasmine has showed me the whole pack house and due to me being a smartass wolf, I remember every single room of the house.

"Damn it smells amazing !" Alex said excitedly. I assure you Alex loves food more than he loves his sister! I bet he will even love the food more than his own mate. The funny thing is that he eat like a pig but he never gains fat.

"Oh! I was about to call you guys. Elijah made the food before he collapsed, so it's a little cold but its still good!" Luna said as we seat. In front of me was Elijah, I guess that is his name. What a beautiful name he has. He was looking better than when he collapsed. The thing that stinks is that he was still avoiding me, it looks like he indeed hates me.

"I'm glad you are feeling better." I said softly looking at him.

He only nodded without looking at me.

"The alpha is talking to you, you should look at his eyes. I do not give a fuck if you are his--" I interrupted Alex with a sharp stare.

" stop it Alex! " I yelled at him, making him quietly quiet.

"I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable Elijah" I apologize without looking at him, I'm sure he is more comfortable if I don't look at him. I standing up and made my way to my room without waiting for my betas.

Shit.

I feel like crying again.

Elijah's POV-

"You shouldn't be that rude to him. He didn't chose you to be his mate. If it were up to me, I would have give him a worthy person. No a jerk like you. " the female beta of the alpha said making me feel really guilty. She is right. The alpha didn't chose me to be his mate. It was this so called "fate". I shouldn't blame him, but the thought of him agreeing with this mate bond makes me disgusted. For me mates are like strangers who fall in love with another stranger and made love to them in the same day. If you think it like that you will see that this mate thing is the definition of two persons who are sluts.

I should apologize to him thought as well to Damon and his so called mate too.

The two betas left, leaving me with Luna.

"They are right. I'm really ashame of your behavior today, Elijah. You don't even let yourself to know him. How will you find your other piece if you don't let others get close to you? And I already know what you did to Damon... you need to apologize and forget your idea of having a chance with him. You may not believe in fate and mates but that's doesn't mean that Damon is going to think the same as you. You know him better Elijah, you know who much he waited to find his other half. He promised to be loyal and to let his other half be his first everything but you... you stole his first kiss like that and you even made his mate cry. You need to apologize to the three of them Damon, his mate,  and obviously Asthon. Stop being so selfish and think of the other's feelings too. I'm sorry if I'm being strict on you but I also care for Damon happiness and if that means his mate can give him that happiness I'm gonna support them. You will soon find yours baby." She said kissing my cheek before leaving me in a completely mess.

I stare at the window. Everything she said was right but I just don't wanna let myself fall in love with that stranger. Even so I still need to apologize to all of them.

And just like that I let my tears fall as I sobbed.

I wish I could be special to someone, I wish they could love me even if I'm selfish...I just want my happiness.
