A small house sits on a corner of Park Drive. It faces a park with its baby blue paint shining. A well-kept rose garden surrounds the house with its flowers standing tall and bright red. A small child's runs from the front porch and across the street. Her mother follows her, laughing and calling to the girl.

"Annabel be careful now!" she called. Annabel took a small seed out of her school cloths pocket.

"We learned about them in school!" she said, catching her breath. "It's a willow seed, we picked them from the great tree by the schoolyard that's dying. I have to plant it!"

They used sticks to dig a small hole in the earth. Annabel placed the seed in the hole, then filled it in again.

"Mama we need water!" she cried.

"Ok stay here I will get some." She crossed the street back from the park and back to her house. A few minutes later she appeared with a small container of water, then handed it to the girl. Annabel slowly poured it over the seed, until it was all gone.

"Why isn't it growing yet!?" she cried.

"The seed will grow in time." her mother explained. "They take awhile to grow." Annabel nodded, and they headed back into their house on Park Drive.
