"Mom! Stop fussing over my hair!" I said annoyed.
My mom kept doing and redoing my hair, almost trying out every style of hair there could possibly be.
"Sorry, I just can't believe my baby girl is at the top of charts in the music industry!" my mom said with a wide smile.
"Yes I know that your proud of me." She continued fussing with my hair," okay mom, just let me do my hair."
"Alright, Alright I forgot how independent you are. I'll be outside the room." My mom said before closing the door behind her.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror at my reflection. My hair perfectly waved down to my waist and my hazel blue eyes twinkled in excitement as I thought about what I was going to tonight. To celebrate my first album recording, my manager, my family and fellow recording artists with my record label that I've joined are going to a special dinner my manager put together.
I looked at the clock. 1 1/2 hours before I have to be there. 15 minutes to get there, 20 minutes to get my make up done, another ten minutes to curl my hair and style it, and 10 minutes tops to decide my outfit. I know I'm a total girl right? That's only cause i've never had as many clothes as I did now before I was famous.
I decided to do things in a certain order while putting my long brown hair in a bun in the middle of my head. I walked over to the racks where dresses, shirts skirts- you know a whole wardrobe basically. I quickly looked through the dresses and found the one that would be me easily, it was the only thing that was, you know-Me.
I picked out a pair of heels and laid them down on the red small couch in my mini dressing room my fame paid for. My album sold faster than I thought it was going to sell. It's only been a week since it's been released and 4,000 copies have been sold.
I sat down in front of the mirror and started doing my make up. I did a cat-eye effect with my eye liner and put on a light coat of mascara with a light layer of blush and put white eye shadow that sparkled and the top of my eye lid just above my eyelashes making the illusion that my eye lashes were thicker. With my final touch, I added a layer of red lip-gloss.
I slipped into my dress and heels, doing my best not to smear my make up at all. I examined my self in the full body mirror on the back of the door. My dress was blood red. It came to my mid thigh, it was strapless and it clung to my sides. The top sparkled and the skirt of it slightly waved. My heels were a lighter red but still went perfectly with my outfit.
I sat down and took my pony tail out of my hair letting my hair flow down to my waist. 10 minutes later, I had some hair pulled back out but still had my bangs down. I had my hair slit in three, 2 sections in front and 1 in back. The hair in the front curled down to nearly my waist and the hair in the back was the same length as the hair in front.
Once I was done I smiled at my appearance.
I was just a small town girl, now I'm in this crazy world... Now as you look me in the eye, you won't see who you thought I was.
I internally groaned as my most popular hit song ran through my head. But I have to say this, when I was Kristen the small towns unpopular girl, but now I'm Kristen Adams a rising star.
A clicking in the room snapped me out of my daze and I snapped my gaze towards it for interrupting my thoughts. I was about to start whisper yelling at it when the time caught my attention. I have 5 minutes to get there.
"Oh, Crap." I muttered. I ran out of the room, throwing the door open.
"Oh honey, you look beautiful." my mom chirped but my attention was on something else. My mom saw my face.
"What is it?" she asked me.
"Have you checked the time?" I asked snapping at her. okay I was a little dramatic- okay a lot. I am really nervous and being late doesn't help.
She eyed me before checking her watch and her eyes widened in panic.
"Let's go, honey!" she tugged me.
