Chapter 13: African American Mafia

Leroy' POV (surprise)

After Becky told me her story, I knew it was the time I tell them the truth before Riley does. I honestly wonder how he's Roman's brother but again it makes sense because he's his step brother, a product of a one night stand.

Now we are all in the lounge and the kids are eagerly waiting to hear what I've got to say but I can't bring myself to say it. Why did both my brave friends had to die leaving me to deal with these handful teenagers?

" You kids have to promise me that no matter what I say you won't freak out", I asked them and they quickly agreed with Becky saying," we have seen and the worst so what can be bigger than that?".

Okay so here goes nothing....

" DeWayne, Roman and I were the founders of the African American Mafia since the Russian Mafia was after us... We were known as the businessmen because that's what we were and will always be" I said and they all looked at me.

" The late night meetings were all about this?"Eaun asked and I nodded my head. " That's pretty cool, Uncle P  now go ahead, tell us everything ", said Becky who seemed to be more interested in this than anyone else.

After graduating my friends and I decided to always keep in touch but stay in different cities because we knew that we had declared war by getting one of the Russian kid arrested. To us we were doing a good deed but to the Russian Mafia we were declaring war.

We knew nothing about gangs but when we realised that there was no way out, we recruited people who hated the Russians and were ready to sacrifice their lives for the Americans.

After two years of planning and building our team, we were ready for the Russians. I had my wife with my two handsome sons who were twins; Roman had a beautiful daughter and DeWayne also had a daughter but his wife left him for another man.

One fateful day we were under attack and in the process I lost my wife. That made me bitter and I wanted revenge so was everyone in the gang. Everyone respected my wife though she was a pain sometimes.

Jessica was my wife's best friend and she didn't take well Tamina's death so she decided to take matters into her own hands and publicly declared war on the Russian Mafia with a message I'll always remember; " You killed one of our own, we will finish your race that's my promise to you... I may die before it happens but I know someone will finish you all..."

With her words, it was war that the world knew of but no one had an idea that we were the African American Mafia because I was a doctor, DeWayne being an FBI agent and Roman was a lawyer.

Everyone in our gang had a clean profession; we had doctors, police, lawyers and other professionals that were of very use to us.

We did everything in our power to protect our kids and we knew that if they get close to each other, it will mean danger so we made it a point that they hardly met. After few years, Roman discovered that his father had a one night stand with his secretary and she got pregnant.

Roman didn't take that well but never showed it to his father. His father brought his other son home but he became the cause of Mrs Jenkins's death and that made Roman hate him even more and his father started blaming him for the death of his wife.

Riley didn't like that Roman was always dad's favorite so he killed his father but what he didn't know was that the Will gave Roman everything. Riley had two sons who are twins but one of them is no where to be found as the other one was arrested for sexual harassment.

Matt, Riley's son had tried to rape Becky, Roman's daughter but lucky enough my son, Ethan saved her. Realising that Ethan was constantly thinking about Becky and so was Becky, we decided to move again so as to create space between these two but that made their bond emotionally strong.

Its not like we didn't want them to know each other but it was dangerous for them to be with each other. Becky was very stubborn and Ethan had anger issues so their combination meant destruction.

After Roman and Jessica's death, DeWayne took Becky in and asked me to send the twins because it was the time for them to fight this battle but we didn't stop fighting on this side.

Becky got very strong and was given the power to make the decisions with Ethan and Euan by her side. When there was a conference to make peace between the two groups, Riley decided to strike knowing that the merciless b3, the deadly Ej and the fearless 69 were not around to protect DeWayne.

He killed DeWayne but also got himself some serious injuries which got him out of the business for two months.

After meeting Becky for the first time I felt like I knew her from somewhere and when my kids told me that she was their gang leader, I knew that she was back.

I could see the connection she had with Ethan and I was certain that they were ready for the upcoming challenges. It was the connection we didn't want them to have as kids but the managed to keep it there even after being separated for years.

Bernice Stuart is DeWayne's niece whose father was actually Maria's brother; Maria being DeWayne's wife who ran away. That family also had its own scandals but we knew that Bernice had to meet up with the three notorious kids we had created.

Bernice was trained by one of our trusted guys in Los Angeles before coming back here and she quickly made a strong bond with Becky which made my job very easy on these.

Now, its their duty to solve the cases that we didn't solve like who killed Roman and Jessica, where's DeWayne's daughter, who and where's Riley's other son?

" wow that's some dope shit there", commented Bernice as I finished telling them the truth. They didn't seem to be affected by it and I was glad because I have no courage to see them sad.

"Now, we have to find out about Uncle Dee's daughter and we will take it from there", said Ethan and everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

" Maybe we already know who it is", said Becky and confusion befell everyone in the room." Bee, Britney stayed with you because her mother was tired of her and she had said she wishes she left her with her father, right? " she asked and Bernice nodded her head.

" Your father died a year before she started staying with you and your mother told you that she was family but the family history was way to complicated for you to understand ", she continued and Bernice nodded her head again.

" Your mother had also told you that Britney's mother ran away with Britney from her husband because she wanted to have "fun" and her name was Maria, right? "She asked and Bernice nodded her head again for the fourth time and that's when I realized what Becky was talking about.

" Britney McMahon is the person we are looking for ", I exclaimed and Becky nodded her head in agreement." How will we know that its her for sure?" Ethan asked.

" she must have a tattoo written: angel_01 which was a sign that she was the first kid Johnson had ",I replied suddenly realising that we had our kids given tattoos to always be mark them and it was easy for them to identify each other if needed.

" Great, we will confirm on Monday and thanks dad ", Euan replied.

After telling them the truth, I left them alone in the lounge while I went to take a nap since I'm working late tonight and I hate night shifts but this one is very special to us as the A. A. M...
